I had problems with Nabokov in my challenge game. He was unhappy because he wanted to extend his contract, but on the contract screen, he refused to entertain offers because he didn't feel i could offer him anything that he wanted.

He complained that I wouldn't re-sign him, but he refused to re-sign. :bs:

Usually after my first season, Nabby usually asks to be traded because he wants a new challenge. Its BS cuz then he starts playing like rubbish until i move him. ](*,)

How did you pry Ovechkin and Kopitar away from their teams?? Are you using Lidas 1.3?? I couldn't get Ovechkin for nothin, they said he was untouchable.
In my current game using Lidas 1.2, Ovechkin got traded to the Habs after about 3 years of non playoff play. I made a good offer for him but I was late getting in on the action and I probably couldn't have fit him under my cap anyway.

Set up an exhibition game against Tappara for fun. I just wanted to see what would happen. I expected a blowout, but not quite this bad.

For crying out loud! With that lineup you could probably do that kind of damage to another NHL team.

The thing i like is that George Parros plays 6 minutes, 1G 1A +1. And he's still only a 9 rating! :-D What does he have to do to get a 10!?

Haha, yeah and the team's even better now. Some of the players have progressed through practice, and I've added some other guys on the third line. I got a lot of good prospects in the minors too, waiting to take over. Kyle Beach, Zach Hamill, Zach Bogosian, Yann Sauve, David Perron, Jordan Eberle... I also drafted some 18 year old who's projected to be a "more talented version of Marian Hossa," so I can't wait to see what he does. Best part is I'm still under the salary cap by a fair amount too.

Reminds me of a Roster i had one year, went 81-0-1.
But what is your salary cap at 80mil+?

No. I'm using Lidas 1.3 rosters, and the salary cap is still at $56.7 million. Right now my teams salary is $53.5 million, but I think it's a little lower because I'm over halfway through the season.

Maybe I don't have good enough tactics, but my team's not quite THAT good. I'm 47-10-4 through 61 games played.

I was in need of a goon, so i went and drafted one, signed him right away (wasted a 2nd round pick on him)
Didn't really care if i hurt his development, figured 5min of ice time, and was used just to protect the key players, i searched forever through the draft to find an Enforcer that had mental characteristics of "very Aggressive" and "Mercenary" Figured he was the perfect goon.
Had him set to play very aggressive, and encouraged to fight and this is the result

Image

91-2min minors
67-5min Majors
51-10 min Misconduct
9-Game misconduct
65-fights

All with 4:42 ATOI

86.25% Last year
87.69% This year

Could be better

I re-scouted him, and he has 2nd line potential, and he has 19p now this season, so i signed him long term. 9yrs at 1.5mil and a NTC
I've got tons of cap room, and i'm not going to lose any key players for at least 4yrs, so even if he doesn't reach his potential, its not a terrible contract.

He's my new fav player in my game.

I tried to add the current date on the end, but its not very readable, a big TY to MS-Paint for killing the colors after saving.

It's Jan 28, 2033

I used the editor.
Go ahead, shoot me.

Since i'm in junior, i guess potential wouldn't matter to me anyways.

I tried that but i guess im just horrible. Like, how does the potential rating help you determine who it is. Do players from the past i.e. Hasek, have the same PA as their regens...?

Yes, PA is always exactly the same.
