What version of EHM are you using? When you open your EHM folder you should have 4 folders (Data, Manuals, Prefs, and Temp). You should have a "Logos" folder inside of your "Pictures" folder that is inside of your "Data" folder. I have no idea where you are getting a "Names" folder.
He already solved it somehow. :dunno:

I made a mistake and put this in the wrong forum (sorry Bruins72, I won't let that happen again)

Is there anyone here who's willing to give some help on downloading the database? I created a new folder for the database, then downloaded the database. Now this is where the trouble starts, when it downloads the computer says that the database is a Internet Explorer file and I cannot open it. I can open my other databases just fine, I just can't open the Jets one. I would really like to be in this challenge and since I'm lost and stuck I figured I'd cry for help. Can anyone help me? I know Bruins72 said something about downloading WINRAR. Would I have to purchase that or can I use a free trial?

WINRAR is very similar to WINZIP. Do a web search on WINRAR. You can get a free trial.

Ok, so I downloaded WINRAR to my computer and the database as well, however, now when I try to run the game, I can only use the default db as well as my 3 custom ones, not the Jets DB.

Could I have downloaded the database into the wrong folder?

So after installing WINRAR you were able to open the roster update that you downloaded? Inside of that there should have been a folder named "LidasDB1.3Jets3". Did you put that folder inside your "C:\Program Files\Sports Interactive\NHL Eastside Hockey Manager 2007\data\database\LidasDB1.3Jets3" folder? If so, you should see that as one of the DB options when starting a new game.

Yeah, I was able to open the roster update.

The path that I'm using is:

C:\Program Files\Sports Interactive\NHL Eastside Hockey Manager 2007\data\database\LidasDB1.3Jets3\LidasDB1.3Jets3\

and it still isn't working. I wish I wasn't so computer illiterate!

That's your problem right there. You put the "LidasDB1.3Jets3" folder inside another folder called "LidasDB1.3Jets3". The "LidasDB1.3Jets3" folder should be inside the "Database" folder. You created a folder when you didn't need to.

The easiest way to install a DB is to open up the "C:\Program Files\Sports Interactive\NHL Eastside Hockey Manager 2007\data\database" folder, then open up the Zip or Rar file and drag the folder inside it right into the "C:\Program Files\Sports Interactive\NHL Eastside Hockey Manager 2007\data\database". It takes 2 seconds and there are no problems.

I thought that looked wrong

I was able to fix it and I have the database ready to go. Thank you so very much for helping me out with this, I appreciate it. :notworthy:

wondering if somebody could help me at all??

I've downloaded a practice file from the downloads section here at EHM. Just curious how to get that on my game of EHM 07??

I put it in the "training" folder like the Readme told me to do, but I don't see any buttons anywhere in the game that would let me load it or use it or anything??

Thanks so much!

Put the files here:
C:\Documents and Settings\**\My documents\Sports Interactive\EHM 2007\training
Then you can go to Practice screen, select menu "Schedule" -> "Unused" and then again "Schedule" -> "Load". It loads the particular practice regime to Unused. You should rename it then in the bottom area of the screen as you wish.

I was wondering why my database don't work?

I've done everything you tell people do do her.. except: when i try to extract the lidas 1.0.3 folder directly into the database folder alot of errors appears, but this errors does not appear if i extract it on my desktop and move it into the database folder. The problem then is that i dont have any options of choosing database when i'm starting a new game after this.

Does this problem appear beacause my game is downloaded and cracked or is it something else?

Hold up! Your game is cracked? We do not support piracy of any type here at TBL. Piracy is one of the reasons why the game is no longer in development. Pirates are NOT welcome here!

Hi all,

I've been playing EHM for a few months now, and have recently come accross this update. I was hoping to install it but i'm having some probelms.

I have installed it to the correct file path, but it doens't give me the option of databases when I start a new game.

I'm running Mac OSX 10.4. The file path is still ehm/database/data etc.... but still no love.

Any one else having this problem? Is the update only for windows?

I really want to play the DB with the canucks.

Thanks in advance.

Oh, and sorry if it's the wrong threat, I searched around I can't any other mac related issues.

You're in the right thread and this isn't a Mac issue.

I don't know how the file path works in Mac but you've got it crisscrossed. It's...

NHL Eastside Hockey Manager 2007\data\database

Then you put the folder for the new database inside that. For example, the path for the Lidas Update 1.3 on my pc is...

C:\Program Files\Sports Interactive\NHL Eastside Hockey Manager 2007\data\database\LidasDB1.3

Then when you start a new game you should see on that first screen where it allows you to pick the database you use. If you don't have the choice, make sure you're running EHM 3.0.4.

I'm also running MacOS X 10.4 and and have experienced no problems with running additional databases. The file path for placing the new database folder is ehm/data/database, i.e. the update folder should be placed inside the existing database folder. Have you got the latest patch (3.0.4) installed?

I'm pretty sure I have 3.04 instladed,

I've used the check for new update function in game, and even downloaded and updated the 3.0.4 patch from sigames to make sure.

Sorry about crisscrossing the file path, i was writing from my own memory.

I'll try when i get home, then post later if I still have problems.

Is there a way in game to check what database you're running? Like in Football Manager? Is it on the game status screen?

You know this isn't going to change the game you're currently playing... right? This only affects NEW games. There is no need to check which database you have running because you'll have to pick the new database when you start a new game.

Yeah I knew that would be the case as with previous games I have played (Football Manager)

I meant checking what database i'm running to check which version of the game I'm playing, what build it is etc.. I would expect to see that In the game status screen. I'll report back in a few hours!

Thanks for your help though

You can see the version of EHM (not the database) by looking at the title bar of the game. It should say "NHL Eastside Hockey Manager 2007 3.0.4". If you've used the "check for update" at all in the last couple years, you should have the latest version installed. I think you just need to make sure that you just need to make sure you're putting the folder for the new database (and not just the zip file) in the proper path and then selecting the new database when you start a new game. The whole thing is really simple and there's never a trick to getting it to work. You've just got to pay attention to what you're doing with it.

While playing, you can also check the version of the game in the Game Information section of the General Manager Status window (Options>General Manager Status). There is no information on build or database version, however, just the version of the game (should be 3.0.4).

By default it's 'My Documents\Sports Interactive\EHM 2007\tactics\'. But you can save it to disc and then load it in the game from anywhere on your file system.

Hi guys, just new to the forums. Hopefully this is the right area to post this, as I've had a look around and it seemed okay.

I have a bit of a problem with the Lidas2.1 roster updates for my Mac. I'm still only running the demo version of EHM2007, but wanted to see how the roster updates looked before purchasing the full version of the game.

I unzipped the roster updates to the database folder, and it asked if I wanted to override the current files that were there. I said yes to this...(maybe my first mistake...or second behind having a mac). When I went into the game, I can see that the players attributes appear to be all the same as they were previously, and players are still on the same teams, with only a few changes:
a) Retired players all have a RET next to their names; and
b) The majority of players now have a Preferred/disliked team, and preferred/disliked staff member.

So something's obviously happened, but it doesn't seem to be everything. Can anybody help me out? Cheers.
