Ok everyone!! The wait is almost over!! After spending a few hours trying to clean up the template I have finally finished it. It will be released either later on tonight or tomorrow, depending on when I get the guide done.

Thanks

That's cool, I have never used cards in the game, because I didn't like the template, but yours is a real eye candy, as I mentioned before. :-D

With any luck I should have the template and the guide up by the end of the day (possibly sooner).

But heres a short pictoria to how we got here today (with a few steps taken out):

For those of you who have been following this project from the beginning or are intrested, the true origins of the card template is:

Hopefully the desgin has progressed and people like it.

Thanks. I'm glad the Card template has inspired you to maybe think about using the cards in the game. I think it will add a whole new level of realism and excitment to the game. Well it does for me anyway.

Will it be possible to use other characters than a-z for names in the template?
I'm mostly thinking about Swedish åäö, but also ů, á, í, ý, ç, and so on...

Should do. I belive Arial has the ability to do all characters. Which is part of the reason why I chose that text for the name plate.

Are you working on any packs at the moment Andy? Or are you just gettin the template out there and letting everyone make a load? :-D

We could make a list of people who want to try and make some, just so we don't have duplicates? And each have a league to work on or something?

That would make a lot of sense. More unique cards from this set is a good thing!

Sounds like a plan... a very good one at that.

All I know is that Lidas was going to do sweden and there was an offer fo someone to do germany (I forgot who now). I was first going to do card packs for leagues I have already got pictures for, so thats the ECHL, Get Ligen, IHL, SPHL. I also have some pics of some NCAA teams and I started getting pics for the swiss NLA. So they were the other two leagues I was thinking bout doing before christmas.

Once the template and guide is officially released then we can start talking about wheather people would like to do leagues/teams ad ge a list going.

Do you have a league/team/country in mind??

I don't know how to use the template but I'm really thrilled by the new card design. And together with new Lidas' rosters this will be deadly combination. I'm really looking forward to these addons.

If you used the eariler template, it's pretty easy to use. I've already done 300 cards :-D

I hope we'll get a bunch of users making cards!

OK... Whilst being a bit bored today. I kinda designed a new card still.

I used the original TBL2007 Card design (hopefully Minstrel wont mind) as my starting point, and tried to just update it a little. This was done by borrowing Reynaldo28's transparent border idea (hopefully he wont kill me for borrowing it!!) as i thought it was a really good idea.

For those of you who are interested the whole reason why I have done this is 1; because I was a tad bit bored today, and 2; because I feel my own AJP09 card style lacks an effective way to show lower quality mugshots. Maybe the second reason is me being a bit picky and bit of a perfectionist.

Oh well... Hopefully you like them...

Thanks
