Official AJP09 Card Thread...

Post by Andyjayp »

Ok, So I opened a new thread for evrything to do with the AJP09 card template, the packs youre doing, and any other questions you might have.

To start things off....

The AJP09 Card Template is finally being released to the user comunity. So I hope you embrace it, and start making facepacks of your own. Its rather easy and straight forward to use.

Anywho... Down to the business of tell you where everything is....

The template can be found here

And then I have done a short video guide of how to do a dual card. I have only done one guide for now, as both card styles require simular steps to make them. So I didn't see a need for it.

Image
Dual Card Guide
Dual Card: Preparing the Images
Dual Card: Placing the Images
Dual Card: Name Plate

Ok hope you enjoy the template and start making packs of your own.

Oh... before I forget if you are going to do a facepack it would be much appreciated if you could write down the pack youre planning on doing here, so another user doesn't start to do the same pack as you. Later on today I'll try and get a list of what packs are being done, and who's doing them.

Thanks
Andyjayp

I'm creating cards for the Swedish leagues.

Once I'm finished (and if noone else has already started - Sweden might take some time to complete) - I'll move on to NHL.

If you want, I'll send you a version of the template with guidelines to allow you to keep the name text in the same place.

For those of you intrested in using the template.

Heres the link to a slightly newer version of the template. Not much has changed apart from some guide lines being put in for the name plate.

The image above shows a small explenation of the guidlines. Hopefully people will understand it.

The new template looks absolutely fantastic! It's nice to see EHM get a bit of a facelift now that the game has been out for number of years.

Do you have the original SWF files for your tutorial? I can upload them to TBL in case they ever get auto-deleted by the hosts. If you think you've finalised your template then I can upload that to TBL too - just so it's more visible to TBL users

Good luck with your packs. I know how time consuming doing these is. :swamped:

Um... I think I do have the SWF files somewhere. I'll try and dig them out and send them to you tomorrow.

But do you think its best if I do one more on how to a single card design?? I was also going to a video on how to use the Name plate in great detail, so it might be best to to stick up all the videos so users can find the answers they need.

I think the template is actually as complete as it will be. So I'll also up that tomorrow!!

I was going to re-do it, as Lidas said it wasn't easy enough to follow and needed simplyfiing. But at the moment I haven't had time. I wanna try and get some of the minor league packs done before Lidas releases his database update.

Um... I have never used GIMP. I use Photoshop. So I couldn't really say if tnhe template would work for it.

On the using of the template you can find either watch a video I made of me doing a card of Thomas vanek. It is split in three parts; Dual Card: Preparing the Image, Dual card: Placing the Images, and Dual Card: Name Plate.

Oh there is also an image of the guidlines for the name plate, in an earlier post.

If you have any other questions on how to use the template just ask me and I'll try and answer it the best I can.

Hope that helps.
Andyjayp

P.S. I forgot to mention you'll need flash player 8 or better to play the swf files.

Yeah looking good so far. One thing that I'll emntion is that you might wanna move the name plate up slightly so that the curve of the white box lies on the bottom guideline. It gives the cards a gerenral standarised feel. But looking good none the less.

Looking forward to the release of the pack!!
