If Hukkanen from the TBN forum is fine if we use his text, i could try to put everything we found out so far into one guide and then send a first version of it to Hypnotist, so we could improve it together. Would it be ok?

I'm guessing that if Pass Tendency is a higher number the player is more likely to pass and if it's a lower number he's more of a shooter? That's how Injury Proneness works too right? A lower Injury Proneness number means they're not going to get injured as much while a higher number there means they're quite prone to injury?

Correct. I usually set PT between 6 and 15, with the values 9 or 10 if they have scored as many goals as they've made assists. More goals than assists gives a lower PT and vice versa.bruins72 wrote:I'm guessing that if Pass Tendency is a higher number the player is more likely to pass and if it's a lower number he's more of a shooter? Hey, Lidas or somebody else, can you tell me quick can i edit record_config (Finnish SM-League records) without errors? Cause i want to edit this and i'm not sure how to do it (is it just so simple like just edit them?) and this is very important to me and every SM-League fan.Jypfan92 wrote:Can i edit record_config file safely without any errors? I mean that can i put Finnish Sm-leagues real top ten points, goalscorers and assists cause in game there is only active players records.
For example Sm-leagues real top ten points (career):
These stats before season 2006-2007
1. Arto Javanainen 462+330=792 points
2. Matti Hagman 288+462=750 points
3. Reijo Leppänen 356+374=730 points
4. Janne Ojanen 251+438=689 points
5. Jari Lindroos 230+432=662 points
6. Esa Keskinen 215+443=658 points
7. Risto Jalo 237+409=646 points
8. Kari Makkonen 286+290=576 points
9. Martti Jarkko 274+299=573 points
10. Jouni Rinne 252+303=555 points

You could try to rename the team in the editor. If you do that you must rename another team(take a defunct team) to Phoenix Coyotes, just to make sure that name is in the database.nam wrote:so whats the step i have to do to replace a team like the phoenix coyotoes with the winnipeg jets?
is it possible?
You could also clear Nation, Division and Other Division for the Coyotes and set them for the Jets. You must make sure to put them in the same division as the Coyotes were or move other teams as well. This way is better to not get any problems with the database but you then have to move staff and players to the Jets.
Good luck!

Saved game editor question
Hi,
I have several questions regarding the save game editor posted by getzlaf. The version of the editor is 2007.0.4 (Build 2). I am using version 3.0.1 of the game. When I set values of player attributes to 20, they only go to 17 or 18 in the game. Furthermore, some of the players atributes are shown as 3 digit figures in the editor such as 141 when in the game they are only 11 or 12.
Second, I would like to know what does the potential ability mean. When I was editing the players, I set potential ability to 200 and current ability to 200, assuming it was the maximun but as I said the atributes in real game go only to 17 or 18. The instructions in the editor say that the potential ability can go from 0 to 200 and from -1 to -15 for special groups of players. For example, Jagr has potential ability of -12. Can someone please explain me how does this negative system for potential ability work? Is it that players with potential ability of -15 are the biggest stars? I tried editing players and entering -15 as potential ability but the results were very bad, I entered atributes of 20 and they only showed as 12 in the real game.
Is it the case that maybe the version of the saved game editor I am using is not compatible with the version of the game? I hope someone can answer these questions. Thank you very much for your time.
Regards

It is compatible, those attributes just are what they are. If there is a player who's just developed some of his attributes, those attributes are different than an other player that will develope his attributes in near future, even if they are the same in game.Alex2367 wrote:Is it the case that maybe the version of the saved game editor I am using is not compatible with the version of the game?

Wage cap
Hi,
Thank you very much for your response. It is much clearer now. I would also like to know can I edit the wage caps with the saved game editor I described? There is an option to edit the wage caps in the editor but it is greyed out.

Pre-Game Editor for MAC
So is it possible to use the pre-game editor with my mac,
without purchasing an emulator that allows me to use the .exe.
Because as of now, I can't seem to use it,
I've gotten the most recent rosters (08-09),
but being the avid canuck fan that I am,
I'm frustrated to see how slow Michael Grabner is... He's got superhuman speed.
so anyway, help would be appreciated.

Re: Pre-Game Editor for MAC
An .exe file cannot be run on a Mac without installing Windows (for Intel-based Macs) or, otherwise, an emulation application like Virtual PC. That's just the way it is.brob89 wrote:So is it possible to use the pre-game editor with my mac,

But I'll second the question: Is there any version of the Pre-Game Editor designed to run on Mac OS X? Sorry if it's been posted before; I searched it, but could find no answer...

Here's my question
BlazingWing wrote:Just wonder, how do I edit players to create clones so I can fix the Fowler/Galiev/etc. problem?
I have Eastside UK's pre-game editor and while I can create another Cam Fowler and such, I can't delete the original. I can change his name and potential and etc., but is that the only way?
Any help in how to edit the DB would really be

You can't delete any players, you need to set them as retired or invalid, or overwrite the player when you create a new one.BlazingWing wrote:Here's my question
