Especially todays, Ray Bourque's etc. job was quite easier.philou21 wrote: Even if i really hates him because he play for the Wings.......
Congratulation for your 1000 pts Niklas, you deserve it...not many defenseman can tell they got 1000 pts in their career.
P.S. I don't mean that Bourque records are worse but you know, todays teams are equal and todays players score less goals.

I knew what Lidas's handle meant. I just thought he would be smart enough to never admit it.
Because now...he will forever in my mind be known as Lidas the Liddy licker....
And no team will leave Flo, Nas, Atl under Buttman's watch. They will file bankruptcy and the NHL will run the team until Jerry Reinsdorf decides to buy it...and then not.....
Anyway...Quebec will eventually get a team. But not til after the owners finally fire "the count" Anyone ever watch Sesame Street? A la peanut butter sandwiches...ah ah ah" BUTTMAN.
Totally off topic and totally insane that I know this...B72--Sesame Street will make a huge comeback in your house in the next couple years. cept it is called Sesame Park in the USA becuase you know...don't play in the streets...there be gangs and bad stuff there. So they play in the neighbourhood park. Ick. Plus....no Bob so what the hell good is it without Rubber Duckie???

Now you understand Lidas' avatar

I didn't know about Lidas. And Sesame Street will also be big in this house soon. The little guy is almost 9 months old. Went for his first haircut yesterday.
Back on topic. Van Ryn's surgery could also be career ending, but on the good news side of it, it's apperently the same surgery that Yzerman when through in 2002.
Here's hoping that the Leafs can beat the Rangers tonight.

I'd be surprised it it worked for him. Van Ryn is a good deal bigger than Stevie and the procedure was only good gor a couple of years. Sad to hear as he seemed to be becoming a very solid 2-3 defenseman.Loosie wrote:Back on topic. Who has checked Jarkko Ruutu's playin' in this season? He has been absolutely great and has scored most points of Finnish players (5 points, Jussi Jokinen has also 5 points)
Ruutu has played powerplay and killed penalties. Powerplay role is new for him, if i remember right, he has played powerplay last time in Penguins, in same line with Crosby and Malkin and in that match he scored 2+1.

This deal was totally done to clear up Cap space and to make room on the roster for a youngster that the Bruins feel could provide what Kobasew brought to the team. They recalled Sobotka and Marchand yesterday. Both are smaller guys that play a fast and gritty game. I just question the Bruins trading Kobasew when Lucic is expected to be out for about a month with a broken finger. I guess we'll see what these two guys can do. I expect Weller to be waived and sent down to the AHL. I'm figuring the Bruins had to take him back from Minnesota due to roster limitations. Fallstrom could be interesting in the future though. And he's playing at Harvard, so they Bruins will (and maybe already have had) have plenty of opportunity to watch his development. The 2nd round pick is the real return though.Jypfan92 wrote:Minnesota traded Craig Weller, 2011 2nd round pick and the rights of Alexander Fallström for Bruins forward Chuck Kobasew.

That Minnesota pick is for the 2011 draft. The Bruins are going to be holding a whole bunch of picks for both the 2010 and 2011 drafts. The only picks I wouldn't consider adding to a trade package are those Toronto 1st rounders, at least this year's 1st. Maybe next year's pick but definitely not this year's.

Duchene and O'Reilly will be staying with Avs whole season
I hope their play will keep current level.
I really like current Avalanche youngguns: Duchene, O'Reilly, Wolski, Stastny. There is just lack of young defensmen: only Cumiskey and Quincey play regularly.
Though, it looks like quite interesting season.
