Attribute colors?

Post by Davey »

Could someone point me to a list explaining the different colors used in displaying the ratings,on the different screens?
On the player profile screen, the different colors are Yellow,Orange,Red & Green. I can see that Red is bad,but not sure about the others. Also do these colors apply the same with the coaches ratings?

As well in practice mode, under Attributes most of the numbers are greyed out, with the rest either Red or Green. I don't know the meaning of those colors either.

Any help appreciated,thanks!

Welcome to the site :joy:

The colours on the attributes for players are there to help identify at a glance how good a player is. Red is 0-10, Yellow 11-14, Orange 15-17, Green 18-20 (These are guesses) rather than any meaning behind them. I think it is the same for coaches.

In practice, grey means unchanged, Red means deteriorating, Green means improving.

Minty has written a guide to adapt these colours if you want to customise them.

Hope this helps

First off Welcome to TBL!! =D>

I agree with you on the colors not being instantly recognizable as a system or pattern. That is why in any of my skins I have altered those settings to make them mimic a stoplight: Green for the top, then shades of yellow blending towards red for the worst attributes.

The attribute colors on the practice screens are difficult to address as they mimic colors used on the player comparison pages. But, yeah green equals improvement and red equals a drop in a stat while the grey means their stats have remained the same.

These are all controlled by color codes in a text file for each skin. If you want to see a small explanation and some quick adjustements anyone can make including the attribute color scale check out my thread 'Changing Colors in Boxscores For Penalty Shots' in the Graphics Forum.

Of course, feel free to ask any other questions you have. Welcome again to TBL, always good to see new people finding the site 8-)

Thx for the additional info!

I've already downloaded a number of add-ons to my game. Actually everything that's possible I think.

Looking forward to playing out an entire season,I've just started.

You guys run an excellent site. I found all the info+add-ons+advice that I was looking for before I got started,so I think I'm pretty well up-to-date heading into training camp.

I have 2 other buddies into this game as well, so word of mouth has already just added 2 more viewers to this site.

Keep it up guys! Take care.

Dave :)
