49 guys actually, Patrick White wasn't one of them. Lucic was taken in the second round of 2006, White was 2007.
Oops. Sleeping at the wheel there. I just hate White so much. Who did the Nucks take ahead of Lucic in 06? I cannot recall...I know it is noone big.

I think that Lucic was definitely a steal. I still say Stastny was one hell of a steal.

I definitely share your hatred of of White, Who by the way is on pace for career numbers in Minnesota.

Well the Leafs are making 61 shots in a game and can't win! I think they're cursed. :-D

That's pretty bad. Now they maybe wish that Sundin was still there, at least they could score then. :-D

Bergeron is really starting to become the player he was before that nasty concussion. He had a great game last night with 4 assists and he's leading the Bruins in points right now.

Lucic is starting to find his game now that he's back from his broken finger. He scored against last night. He's also throwing some nice hits. He can't fight until January though.

No, he can't fight until his hand is healed better. Lucic will fight anybody if it's not going to hurt the team. He just hasn't bothered fighting Laraque because it's not a good trade. Laraque off the ice? No big deal. Lucic off the ice? The team suffers.

P.J Stock would own Laraque anytime. 8-)

Wasn't he some kind of co-commentator for HNL games a while ago?

I don't know. I think PJ knew that was the only way he was going to make it in the NHL. He did what he had to do. Plus, I've known lots of smaller guys over the years that were really tough and wouldn't back down from anyone. PJ just did it on a professional level.

I don't know about that (we don't get them in the US) but I do know that he's got a sports talk radio show up in Canada.

Rick Rypien is the new PJ Stock. Except he is a trained boxer. Dude is scary. Beat the living daylights out of a few guys already this year. Stortini comes to mind...

He looks like a great fighter but I wouldn't use the Hal Gill fight as an example of that. Hall Gill is a 6'7" wimp. He drove us all nuts when he played for the Bruins. How can a guy so tall play so soft?

Yeah there are much better Rypien fights. Recently vs Brad May...

Stortini

It is disgusting. It does not matter how big the guy is, or how tough the guy is. Rypien just destroys with quick lefts...

That was crazy! May looked like he was getting the better of him in the early goings and then Rypien just unleashed this flurry of punches like a tornado. Once he got the jersey pulled up, it was all over!

:fight:

I think we need another thread just for our favorite fights.

I like the fighting training that May has with Justin Abdelkader in the ending of that clip. :-D
