I know for sure every WHL team does it. And they have for a large number of years.

And although not mentioned Vancouver ,Chilliwack, and Edmonton also have gargantuan toss nights. Bigger the city, bigger the toss.

Kassian hit on Kennedy
Headhunting. He deserves a suspension, but nowhere as long as Liambas

And watch out for the Whalers. Hackett is a top goalie and could steal the seriesDJP19 wrote:I think they will, just need to get by windsor. This elbow by Patrice Cormier was disgusting. Tam (the guy he took out) was convulsing on the ice and even stopped breathing for about 30 seconds.

This is really disgusting yes. I really didn't enjoy watch this on TV this morning. It's really a dirty hit and that sucks bad, the police will investigate, maybe there will be accusation. Now i'm just curious to see what the QMJHL will do. They never really give big suspension just like th NHL, it's a big joke. Cormier should be suspended for the entire season and the playoffs, just like the idiot who almost decapitated a guy in the OHL. But the QMJHL is really soft sometimes and i wouldn't be surprise to see something like 15 games.....bruins72 wrote:This elbow by Patrice Cormier was disgusting. That's not even a hockey play anymore, it's an assault. Pretty disgusting, repeat offender, kick him out of hockey. Funny how they always talk about how big a problem intentional headshots are but then never do anything against it. And no, a 20 game suspension is nothing in this case. That ****head needs to sit at least for one full season.

For now Cormier as been suspended indefinitely........until the QMJHL make a decision, i hope it doesn't mean it's gonna take 1 week to give a verdict.
EDIT : To DJP19, Cormier is not THAT popular in the QMJHL, he is a good or maybe was a good player but he isn't a star in this league. This hit was more disgusting than the one in the OHL?? I'm sorry but the other guy in the OHL as almost died and good multiples fractures at the head. Tam is ok at the hospital, he loss a couple of theeths and got a commotion but nothing as bad as the guy in the OHL.

He's feeling well given the circumstances. He has a traumatic brain injury, he almost died tonight. Several scans were made to make sure he didn't have anything major to his brain. Good news is that he's got no oedema (accumulation of water in his brain). The shock was so big that the diagnostic places him between a severe concussion and a brain death. He'll stay under observation at the Rouyn Noranda hospital for 48 hours
That sounds bad enough to me to compare it with the other guy...

The medias says he is alright now, i still think the other guy is more injured than him. The hit from Cormier was dirtyer, but make less sequel for sure.Danny wrote:He's feeling well given the circumstances. He has a traumatic brain injury, he almost died tonight. Well Cormier was Captain for Team Canada, so he must be somewhat good and known. The hit in OHL was because he turned and Liambas didn't slow down. I am not saying he didn't deserve the ban from the OHL, but the hit itself wasnt so bad. It was the repercussions that caused everyone to think it was such an ugly hit.philou21 wrote:For now Cormier as been suspended indefinitely........until the QMJHL make a decision, i hope it doesn't mean it's gonna take 1 week to give a verdict.

Been captain doesn't mean your a popular one, i'm pretty sure before he make team Canada, a fan of the OHL or the WHL have never heard of him, but after this hit, i can tell you he is no more ''popular'' or love by some fans, we all wanted a big suspensions and we all wait impatiently for a verdict. Oh and yes i agree, like i said in my other post, the hit from Cormier was dirtyer than the other, it's just the consequences who are worst.
