TMZing of athletes/sports

Post by batdad »

So....the Chicago Blackhawks, or at least some of them had some fun in Vancouver. Whup de do. Except maybe for the married one in the car.

20 cent, The steeger and Mad Dog

But it brings me to two questions.

1. Is the way the "media" is treating pro athletes now, with tmzsports and that other site (starts with a d-cannot recall the name) really necessary?

2. More importantly, what are they doing with sledge hogs? This is Vancouver boys, there is alot more to offer here. Did you forget you were not in Edmonton?

Just to note on question 1---Madden is married with kids.

1. Of course it's not necessary. Neither is the way the "media" (or TMZ types) treat musicians, actors, and other types of celebrities. But people are interested in what celebrities are doing and that means that these "media" types are going to profit from it. Athletes need to get with the program and realize that they are celebrities making lots of money and this type of thing comes with the job. When you're a celebrity of any type you need to understand that you cannot expect total privacy and anonymity.

2. Yeah, those girls were pretty rough. Back in my days of being single I could pull much better than that and I wasn't rich, famous, or even all that good looking. What's their excuse?

Madden deserves what he gets. If he's married and out screwing around with girls, he's a dirtbag. I'm sure his wife will catch wind of this and that will be something for the two of them (and maybe lawyers) to deal with. I sure as heck down feel bad for him.

Harmless fun yes. If they were in Edmonton....but they were in Vancouver. There is beauty everywhere and these twits got in limos with blech.

I just went downtown and my god...they were everywhere. I am becoming particularly partial to the skinny jeans and long boots look....wow. And those guys end up with.....blech. Those girls moved here from Edmonton. I know it.
