A second round pick is too much for Moore. It was even too much last season when he scored 40 points. He is just an average 4th line player.philou21 wrote:Never heard of that anywhere yet.
Ok now i got it it's confirm.......does a second round pick is high for Moore? Is he that good as a defensive foward?

Gradually, more and more protection will start working it's way into the NHL. The Hockey News had a good article about the increased usage of visors, and touched on how the idea of mandatory helmets was scoffed at in 1979. But now, you'd be very hard pressed to find someone not wearing a helmet, even in drop in leagues or pond hockey.

In South Africa, they play hockey. Jääkiekkolehti (Finnish version of Pro Hockey or something) made an article about it like 2-3 years ago.getzlaf15 wrote:Akim Aliu! He was born in Nigeria. But moved early on... I really don't think they have Ice Rinks and stuff there... Maybe there's a niche in the market and we should all start hockey camps in Africa. We could find some real talents.

Cheechoo? He's sure seen his career tank. Was his success in San Jose just a product of who his linemates were? I wonder if anyone will take a chance on him and see if he can find his game with them.batdad wrote:Jonathon Cheecho, Brad May and Jamie Lundmark all on waivers today. Took the words right off my keyboard. What was his goals tally that year. 56? He must be worth a punt.bruins72 wrote:Cheechoo? He's sure seen his career tank. Moore went to the Habs for the 2011 2nd rounder, to be more precise. I stopped watching him play after he left the Leafs for Buffalo, has he been playing well recently? Anything to merit the price?
And Cullen... there was some talk of him moving to Vancouver earlier, but well, whatever. But Picard and a 2nd, that also seems a bit steep to me... I guess it just goes to show that 3rd line defensive-minded centres are a sought-after commodity before playoffs.

Yeah I have to admit Sens are preparing well for their first round exitDJP19 wrote:I'm liking the addition of Cullen for the sens. They beat Washington a huge boost and proof that they arent just have a lucky few weeks. Is cheecho really on waivers, where'd you hear that? I hope someone claims him, would free up 3M in cap space.

Colaiacovo, the Man-of-Glass... a decent blueliner, just extremely injury prone. And Tkachuk...

And about African players, Olaf Kölzig has born in South Africa, and he has German/South African nationality. It would have been cool, if he had choosen South Africa's national team instead of Germany

Yeah they are an amazing regular season team. Ever since they got rid of YAshin they have been. But...um no to playoff success, save 1 year. Nicely stated Danny.DJP19 wrote:Really? I am sorry, but last time i checked the sens didnt loose 10 straight, but won 11.
Axwel--I dunno..I think Minny is going to wait. No deal in Chicago before deadline after Olympics. They have stated that. And the rumour...started with Eklund.
