I had 3 czech goalies on first round of 2009. The third drafted (overall #25) was the Hasek regen.
Two of them were acrobatic and one was butterfly. I guess one of them was Hnilicka (#13 Overall).

One was probably Cechmanek's.

Does a regen always have the same PA than the original player?

I'm looking for the Jagr regen in my game but there is no Czech as dominant as Jagr... I so one that could be Jagr, but not good enough.

Thanks.
I'd say that they probably have the same PA.

Could be. Also two of them had 99 (20) flair, so... Dunno what Cechmanek or Hnilicka has.

If "Consistancy" is the same thing as the "Jämnhet" value in the Swedish translation, then ALL players have it from the start. How do I then see who is a regen and who is not?

I'm not certain that a regen's consistency is the same as before, but if it is then just look for the same consistency.

You can see the consistency rating on every player info screen in the Lidas' databases, but in the original database you could only see it when a player was a regen. Birth year is one thing where you can identify a regen, the first European regens are born 1991 and North Americans in 1992 or 1993. So the first European regens pop up in the 2009 draft and North Americans in the 2010 draft. I'm not totally sure if the 2010 draft consist completely of regens but atleast the drafts after that do.

How long does it take for a regen to appear after a player has retired?

Hasek retired a few months ago, and I've been scouting the Czech league for months now, with no result. Just one mediocre 30 year old goalie.

All new regens appear on the first the game update since they retired. These occur at the end of the season and on January 1st.

Any chance someone could tell me who this guy is?
That looks A LOT like Tom Barasso. Tall for a 17 YO, but still in Barasso's range. Year match as well.

Been scouting the pros instead of the juniors?

Just the Czech league, all ages. Is there any difference?

No. Try to make one of your guy to scout the draft but put the ages of the players to 14-16 or something like this then you will have less players to check.

In my game with the Thrashers i've pick him 3rd overall in the 2010 draft, now he is like 20 everywhere on the right except for passing and stickhandling, he got a 19 det with a 17 work rate I think. He's like 200 victory, 50 defeat at 23 or 24. :-D

Hummm, I can't see that well...

The thing is : I don't think there's a guy with such aggression that ever becomes THAT great. I could think of Chris Simon's regen, but I don't think Simon amounts to anything else than a 2nd liner (that is, if you're lucky).

I really doubt he'll make a good player in the NHL, because I recruited him at the second round in the WHL bamtam draft. But he'll be a great asset in my team where nearly everyone is under 5 foot 11 and 180 pounds! ](*,)

Hey guys, I started to read this thread a some while ago and I was extremly surprised that the game works like this, I am sure the developers only wanted to maintain a constant number of players in the gamebase, but that's really great stuff, you can sign some legends and if a player retires it's just the beginning =D> ... another fantastic element of this incredible game regarding depth and "flair"...

Since I read this thread I am "wasting" a lot of time to find regens :-D, I did already draft without knowing it the Korolyuk and Svehla regens in the 2010 draft of the Oilers challenge, well not so famous, but I like them....
I saw one in the 2011 draft who I like to know who it is, pls help me, could it be Brett Hull? That would be great, he is only ranked 54th atm, maybe I can draft him with my 30th pick (hopefully I get that one ;) )

Brett Hull ???

Thanks for ur replies

They did that so the game couldn't become boring or at least always got good players to draft and keep a good level of competition in the game.
