Well Carolina beat Pittsburgh. So much for tanking the season ad going for the first draft pick. They got rid of a lot of veterans and they are still wining,

Just saw the Wisniewski hit on Seabrook. Horrible, disgusting thing. Plus the commentary suggesting that Seabrook was selling it... Dude, true (which I doubt) or not, if this is the first thing that comes to your mind when you see that kind of hit, there must be something wrong with your head. Wisniewski charged Seabrook at full speed, elbow to the head, his feet leaving the ice... Terrible hit. I'm happy the league finally decided to take action, only I don't understand why so late.

Kesler signing long term sure is great news for Canucks. I was very happy when I heard it. I have to say I really like the way Gillis handles this team.

Selänne scored game-winning-goal last night and it was his career's 600th. =D> There's now 18 players, who has scored over 600th in their career, 3 European. Selänne is only active player on that list.

There's a curse upon the Flyers, they loss Carter for 3 to 4 weeks. Ouch, I don't think they will make it in the playoffs this year, too much injuries. Too bad, I like the team a little bit, I was hoping a Habs/Flyers series again. :-D

Jagr is greatest european ever to play the game some might say. However, if ovechkin can stay healthy for 15 seasons beating that goal mark won't be to much of a problem.

They are actually, even though most part of Russia is in Asia. But Russia is a European country.

It is mainly because the capital, Moscow, is in the european part of Russia.

Jagr is Czech. Not Russian...

EDIT: Nevermind, realised you were talking about Ovechkin. :-D

Kovalchuk is also a potential 600 scorer don't know in Jersey thou but he's an ufa at the end of the season anyway. If he gets greedy and inherit that yashin work rate thats not good.

Finally the sens claim a victory against the habs 2-0. Good game thoguh. The only think I like about this is the sens had lost 5 straight until they shutout New York then went on a 14 game win streak. Hopefully this sparks the team just in time for the playoffs(know I said that before, but this time it really is towards the end of the season.

The game was soooooo boring, I really don't enjoy watching it, the Habs were sleeping on the ice, no action at all. The Habs are always like that when it count the most, the Sens got it really easy.

philou21 wrote:Well, another trade that prove that Waddell is the worst GM in the league, the trade so far doesn't look better than the Hossa trade to me, maybe of the exception of Bergfors, who's more talented than Armstrong or Esposiwho.
So after some time, Kovalchuk's got 12 points with Devils, on the other hand Bergfors scored 13 points. Considering their salary, I think this is short-time win for Waddell. And not mentioning Oduya, Cormier and the pick.

If we don't look at the points, I still think Waddell ruin the franchise, at least what really surprise me, is that they are able to stay in the race for the playoffs. They just need to keep the rythm. They often lose by one goal or in overtime, the couples of goals that Kovalchuk will have put in the net will certainly help. His production as slow down yes but don't forget he play with the Devils now.....defence power, look Bergfors, he made more point in ATL ( he got more ice time for sure ) still it proves to me that the system of the Devils slow down the players production a little bit. If Kovalchuk was still at ATL, he will have more points than Bergfors for sure.

I agree that Waddell ruined the franchise. But this time, I'm surprised with performance of the players involved into this trade. :-o
