The Sabres were not all that bad in game 4, in the end it could have gone either way. They kept up with the Bruins as far as physical play is concerned for most parts of the game, although it did seem to have worn them out a bit because they looked completely gassed in the 2nd OT and a Bruins goal was just a matter of time.
I love the whining from Ruff about the refs though. Nothing wrong with calling out refs when they deserve it but the wrong calls/non-calls have been relatively even all series long. Can't believe he would whine about the goalie interference on McCormick that lead to a Bruins goal but ignore the Myers elbow/roughing behind the play on Wheeler on the Sabres first goal. Both were wrong calls. Either call out both or shut up. He won't even take responsibility for the bench minor which lead to Satan's GWG. The "man" is just pathetic. No wonder they always choke in the playoffs no matter how good they've been in the regular season... denial, excuses, no accountability whatsoever. Way to set an example Mr. Whiney Ruff.

That Boston Buffalo game was outstanding. But I only hope to have an OT game between those two ended by Lucic or Myers. In fact, they should be the only 2 allowed to score in that series. By rule.
That third period in Montreal was firewagon Washington hockey. Talk about exciting. Same for Vancouver-LA in the third, back and forth bang crash...outstanding hockey.

Milan isn't looking right. At least we saw glimpses of the old Lucic in OT. But he's been the Bruins least effective player all series long. I'm kinda worried with that huge contract kicking in next year.
There's already a rule for Myers, he's not allowed to be called for high elbows. He's not getting another rule

I think there is a Bruin player that has that same rule for him Danny. So it should even out quite nicely. Cept Chara is playing like a weenie again.
Milan has not been healthy all year. Dude will be fine and back in full force next season. I would not worry. Also remember..what is he? 19. 2nd year in the league. ALways a tougher grind. He will be a great player for years to come, as long as physical play is still allowed in the NHL, and I am not sure it will be for much longer.

Chara is back in Norris form, leading by example, which is a bit of a surprise after his mediocre regular season. Better late than never I guess. Everybody gets away with one here and there but Myers has been throwing elbows at heads every game, don't recall that from Chara. People know he's not allowed to fight so guys like Kaleta will obviously exploit it. Moot point anyway, Bruins will just have to deal with it and they did fine so far. I wasn't really completely serious
Lets hope you're right about Lucic. It's his 3rd season now by the way. Not sure if the injury excuse is valid. Kessel had a completely messed up shoulder, had surgery, no preseason at all and still potted 30...and one would think a serious shoulder injury would affect his release. So I remain sceptical.

Yeah by comparing it to the Kessel situation I didn't mean to imply I expect the same offensive production from Lucic. Just that Kessel's wasn't affected by a more serious injury at all. I guess a 20-30 season from him and people will be fine with his contract, as long as he goes back to being a momentum changer with his physical play again.
