If the Bruins win, I have a feeling Rask will be the Conn Smythe winner.

I am so frickin' SICK of the Red Wings and so very disappointed that the 'Yotes let that series get away from them.

Rask have already beat the best goalie in the league, rest will be easier. 8-)

Lol good point Reggie! If Phoenix gives trouble to the Wings the Nucks or the Hawks will beat them easily I hope. :-D I don't think the Sharks will pass the second round.

Going with the Caps tonight in a 4-2 victory. Ovie and company remember that game 7 loss against the Flyers and they'll learn from it.

Well, what an upset. I am sorry but montreal will not beat pitssburg. Any team that can beat the sens is classified as amazing in my book.......maybe not.

Mmmmm well sorry but I wouldn't base my opinion on your. :-p Everyone can say here it's the biggest surprise so far and I think even after the Stanley Cup it would still be THE surprise of the 09-10 playoffs. Halak just Wow! I just hope for MTL he can maintain the rythm, if not, they're done. Pitts will not be easy too but if they play some great hockey ( finally ) like this series they can surprise again....

Here we go, Flyers-Bruins playoff hockey. I'm pretty excited for this one... more-so than those New Jersey "Bore-fest" Devils.

And I think this is our first play-off series with Boston since 1978. 10 years before I was even born!

134 shots and 131 stopped in last 3. :-o Caps shoot where Habs wanted them to shoot and defence kept front of the net clear. Still i feel sorry for the Caps but they just weren't ready.

MTL defence impressed me in that series, so many shot block and they were making good decisions, that change from the ordinary regular season we had. :-D

WOW, H-A-L-A-K, H-A-L-A-K

Now imagine these conference finals: BOS-MTL and CHI-DET. Four of The Original Six! It'd be awesome :joy:

Oh that would be sweet!

Anyway, Halak was sublime through the series with Washington, I am really happy for him and the team. One would think if he prevented the team with the finest offense from scoring, then he will solve Pittsburgh as well...well I would be more than happy, but it's gonna be a lot tougher since they are Cup team already. Great playoff so far, Chicago, Montreal and Boston - keep on rocking!

You and I should make some sort of playoff bet. :-k

You've got to like that Bruins-Flyers match-up. Should be a fun series!

Even tho i'm pens fan, i hope that Boudreau (Did i spell it correctly?) gets fired. Semin was 0+1 in the whole series(?) and still it was basically him or Ovechkin on the ice all the time. That 4th line, or well, the one with Walker on it was way better than their 2nd in my opinion.

Looking forward to facing Mtl. :) That Gill - Gorges pairing worries me, but i have faith in every single line of the Penguins. Just hoping Kunitz comes back soon. We need him.

EDIT: It's pretty darn interesting playoffs btw. SJS - DET, CHI - VAN (should be just pure gold), PHI - BOS (going to be really intensive) and Hal.. MTL - PIT. :P Guess my school attendance is going to suffer, oh well, who cares. :p

That would be pretty cool! You've got to love match-ups of original six teams.

He was soooooooooo awful all the series. Yesterday it's was is worst game of the 7 I think, 2 stupid penalty, 1 costing a goal. Anyway he looks to me the kind of guy who would never be good in the playoffs. Maybe is style just doesn't fit for the playoffs.

Kras wrote: Semin was 0+1 in the whole series(?)
Semin just sucks. Point. I hope he's not the European type of player who vanished in the playoffs.

Kras wrote: That Gill - Gorges pairing worries me,
Gill was outstanding agaisnt WSH. That pairing in PK did and do an awesome job. Everyone was laughing when they sign Gill in the off-season at MTL and now after a "OK" season begging, Gill is playing really well, he's the best shot blocker in the team right now and it's tough to pass him in his zone. Great job.

Well the Flames won their only Cup against the Habs in the late 80s so I assume that's the last time 2 Canadian teams met in the final.

Yeah that was pretty evident back in '93 when Kerry Fraser convienetly didn't see Gretzky clip Gilmour. (No I'm not still bitter)

My second round predictions are:

In the West, Sharks in 6 and Vancouver in 7. In the East, Boston in 6 and Pittsburgh in 6.
