You are right, also...batdad wrote:No money for him. Not til we see some progress. I know he is busy, but I do not buy into anything until I can see some of the product. At this point, there is nothing but speculation on this site.
Not to say dabo is not trying...he probably is busy as he says. But donator beware
1. Money helps when I lack motivation, I lack time atm.
2. Money adds pressure to deliver quality, I don't want that. Now I can deliver rubbish and you cannot complain.

3. I already said the game will be freeware, as long as development doesn't cost me anything but time, that won't change.

If you need any help once it comes to researching teams and leagues or some of the rules once you come to that point let me know. I would love to see the ability to make all leagues eventually playable so that it would be possible to coach and run a minor hockey team in bantam or midget with your players getting drafted by the junior teams and even getting called up to play a few games like happens in real life.
Keep up the good work it is much appreciated hope it all works out.

may i suggest using Out of the Park Baseball 11 as something to take ideas from... i know its baseball but there is some great features:
- Ability to play historical, fictional and real leagues
- Expansion/Relocation
and pretty well fully customizable.

I know nothing about baseball but I guess I can have a look at it.Javs wrote:may i suggest using Out of the Park Baseball 11 as something to take ideas from... i know its baseball but there is some great features:

it just seems as a good resource to look at as they have done very well with no real league licenses really, until this year i guess with real player names.. they just give gamers ultimate customization...dabo wrote:I know nothing about baseball but I guess I can have a look at it.Javs wrote:may i suggest using Out of the Park Baseball 11 as something to take ideas from... i know its baseball but there is some great features:

Actually, they've been including real roster sets since OOTP 8, I believe (which, as a matter of fact, is now freeware). But you're still right: OOTP is the benchmark in management sims.Javs wrote:it just seems as a good resource to look at as they have done very well with no real league licenses really, until this year i guess with real player names.. they just give gamers ultimate customization...dabo wrote:I know nothing about baseball but I guess I can have a look at it.Javs wrote:may i suggest using Out of the Park Baseball 11 as something to take ideas from... i know its baseball but there is some great features:

But, axwel is also right: we're a long way from OOTP. It's gonna take years and years of dedicated development.
