Basically, Campbell says that Ward and Walker were involved in an altercation and this was the result. He said it wasn't something where Walker was sending a message or a cheapshot. I don't know what game he was watching. The game was already won for the most part and Ward was tied up with another player when Walker came over and sucker-punched him. It's just total bull.

Don't imagine he'll be over-rated after last night.getzlaf15 wrote:I think it's stupid having a goalie as captain! I'm just glad I was able to watch the Ducks game last night, even though the hosts kept thanking people all night long. Which I found really annoying, talk about the game and the players not some sound guy.
Three game 7s though, that is prett damned sweet. My only issue is that the Ducks/Detroit game is on just before the Calrolina/Boston game, so I won't be able to watch the whole of both games.
Both games are gonna be good too!

You would feel differently if you were the sound guy.Qikdraw wrote:I'm just glad I was able to watch the Ducks game last night, even though the hosts kept thanking people all night long. Which I found really annoying, talk about the game and the players not some sound guy.

Heh, maybe, (I doubt it though) but thats what credits are for. Its a nice gesture, but completely annoying for those just wanting to watch a hockey game, specially a playoff game.jbsnadb wrote:You would feel differently if you were the sound guy.Qikdraw wrote:I'm just glad I was able to watch the Ducks game last night, even though the hosts kept thanking people all night long. Painful watching the Caps-Pens games tonight. Caps didn't play bad until they gave up 2 goals in 8 seconds in the 1st. They've pretty much phoned it in since. Those goals seemed to rattle Varlamov and he let in two more softies before being yanked. Maybe we'll see a rematch of last year's Cup Final, Wings-Pens!!
I'll be at Joe Lewis Arena for game 7 tomorrow night!!! LET'S GO RED WINGS!!!!

Unfortunately for sound guys, there really are no such thing as credits anymore. They're run in fast motion at the bottom of the screen while some other form of programming dominates the screen.
It's worse in sports where, unless the game is a blowout, there's nary a mention of the dozens of folks it takes to put on a live television broadcast.
Sorry for going off-topic, but I used to be the guy who designed everything for a radio station that played when the music wasn't.

Ok, now that the Caps is out I'm rooting for the Hawks.
It would be good to see them win after so many dry years.
I definately don't want the Canes or the Pens to win it. I think they should both knock each other out on the Conference Finals. Not sure if this is possible by the rules, but it should darn well be!
