Yes that's right folks here is the first ever world-exclusive screenshot of the ESPN skin I am creating...
As you can see, I have not really started! (In fact it was a quarter of an hour ago) but I have a lot to learn, so any progress is welcomed by me! Estimated tome of arrival? How about 2059?
I'll do my best and keep showing you new screens when I have a chance...

Ha ha I know it's rubbish at the moment.. but it will be good. All graphics editors have to start somewhere-right, Minty?... Minty?...
(Minstrel suppresses snorts of derisive laughter)
Cheers, flea. As you can see it is years away (possibly literally ) from being finished. All those different text colours are just evidence of me practising with Minty's guide. I know what you meant E about the orange, it is rather bright. However I am sick of blues and greys in my game-it's time for some variation!
No, I won't point and laugh honest. The late response is just becuase I'm not around much weekends as I am performing and doing other stuff with my theater on weekends so it's the first I've seen of it.
You're on the right track; it does take a lot of experimenting to get used to the system, the more you tear things apart the more it begins to come together. You're working with a new program too. You can't expect to go from point a to step 246a instantly, but keep working on it and you'll be fine. On that end as I said there are tons of tutorials out there for PaintShop, google up 'paintshop pro tutorials' and you'll see what I mean. I've learned a lot of great techniques from tutorials. Here's a bit of a compiled listing from about.com:
Cheers, Minstrel. I think I might work with that orange background despite the mixed response. I'll do an alternative later-possibly in red or black(!)
The colours clash pretty nastily in this example as they are too heavy, and the text is all in the wrong colour. However it gives you an idea of the bits and pieces I can tweak with. What are your thoughts? Would an orange sidebar be the better alternative?

Got game back to working state, but this meant changing nearly every component back to its default setting. Needless to say I am not happy
the sooner Sega make a comprehensive skin editor programme the better.
