I thought I'd recommend a really useful (and free) image tool which helps a great deal with creating logo packs: FastStone Photo Resizer - http://www.faststone.org/FSResizerDetail.htm

This has made my life a lot easier. Rather than having to manually resize each logo, FastStone does it en mass. All I have to do is to create a master logo image (e.g. make sure it has a transparent background and is correctly cropped, etc), check that it has correct filename and then I can leave the rest to FastStone. You just set the desired size (e.g. you can set it to 70px for the "large" logo size) and it will resize all of the logos.

It will also resize logos in different folders - so you can keep your logos organised in the correct folders (e.g. National Hockey League, Great Britain, etc) - as well as batch renaming (e.g. replacing underscores with spaces in file names), batch cropping, etc.

I don't mean for this to sound like spam, but I found it very handy and time-saving whilst working on a logo pack.

A fairly useful site with vector images for various teams (a lot of them are quite old, but there are some that are new): http://vector.us/logos/hockey

Vector images are great because they can be scaled to any size without any loss in quality.
