I have a player shortlisted, and he's pretty good, but I'm getting kinda tired of the almost daily reports on trade proposals that fall through in the WHL for this guy. Almost every time I hit spacebar I see, "so and so's trade proposal to Lethbridge for hockey guy", then "so and so's proposal rejected". I went through this with Crosby too (before the roster updates), when there was a trade proposed for him in the QMJHL, but this player is far far worse.

My question is, is there anyway to keep the player shortlisted but not get my news section filled up by other teams wanting to kiss his butt? If not, that's cool, I can just simply take him off the list...just wish there was a way to only see actual trades, and not proposals and rejections.

I tend to see this too, usually with guys around when interest picks up in the draft they'll be in and then at the beginning of seasons, and yeah it's annoying. I usually just take 'em off my liste when I see the flurries start.

I don't think there is really anything else you can do about limiting messages you get but you could take him off temporarily and make a note to yourself (in the game that is, on his player page) to remind you not to forget about him; giving yourself a few weeks for the trade offer flurries to subside. ;)

I think there are only brief trade periods in Canadian juniors, so whilst these messages are annoying, they only seem to happen for a week/2 weeks at most. It would be good to have some kind of shortlist level, where you can say all news, major news only, no news etc. Hopefully one for the future

I wish there was something you could do about this as well. I get about ten to fifteen messages a week about some team in Europe trying to pick up Rene Vydarney for nothing, and it never works.

Old thread,i know, but i have my own solution to this problem...

I just save my shortlist, and then i clear the shortlist,so i have no annoying news (in fact,no news at all!) about the guys in my shortlist...

And when i want to add players to the shortlist,i load the one i've saved, add the player i want,re-save it,and clear it again...

Might sound a bit annoying too... :-k

Just sign him yourself and you won't have to deal with all those messages. 8-)
