League Editing

Post by ExxonPirate »

Sorry for the poor title, I couldn't think of anything better.

So I'm looking into creating my own fictitious hockey universe. In it the NHL has divided and two leagues: The Canadian Hockey League (CHL), and the American Hockey League (AHL) have emerged. Canada will have a smaller league (I was probably going to use Austria's league) and I don't really know what I'll do with the NHL. Anyway, my questions are:

Can I add a league to a draft? or, can I create my own draft? I was thinking of having something like the Import Draft. Where both the AHL and the CHL will participate.

How do I change the playoff format? Something like how the SEL works, where if you're the worst in the league you're sent to a lesser league.

Can I edit the league so that there's a limit on foreign players? Like only two American's are allowed on one roster, and vice versa.

Thanks in advance guys.

In order to do those edits you need to look hard into hex-editing. Nobody has managed to do that much hex-editing so you have your hands full.
Create a forum-search for info on hex-editing

since this has to do with League editing i thought i would post it here..

in the roster i have it has Rockford in AHL and texas in echl... i want to switch them around however i put Texas info all blank and then when i go to move rockford over to ECHL i get a error message saying..

In order to make a club extinct - nation, division and other division fields must be clear. If you never intended to make this club extinct then please set all of these fields..

To swap Texas from the ECHL with Rockford from the AHL you go to Clubs tab in the PreGame Editor and swap out the Division/Other Division/Last Division information...so after editing Texas will have the Division/Other Division/Last Division that Rockford had, and Rockford will have the Division/Other Division/Last Division that Texas formally had
