FHM: Tactics & Training

Post by diag »

Hey there! I have a few question about FHM before buying, would appreciate if you could help me.

How is the tactics interface compared to EHM? Is there any personal tactics? Do you got a lot to choose from in form of line tactics? (like faceoffs, positioning)

Also how's the training? Do coaches have attributes which helps the players develop? Is there like in EHM, where you can choose between easy, medium and intensive?

All answers is appreciated, would love pictures aswell!

Thanks you all! :-)

Tactics are more advanced in EHM than FHM right now. But that's not surprising seeing as EHM has several years of development over FHM. It'll catch up in good time. Below are some screenshots. They were taken using the old GUI, but it'll give you an idea (the GUI has since been improved).

I haven't checked out the training for a while, but IIRC you can set the intensity of training. Coaches don't have attributes yet - I'm not sure what the plan is there. I'd be surprised if there weren't attributes eventually, but I've no idea whether it'll be in time for September's release.

Thanks, looks alright. I like the part with ice time percentage, and how the tactics changes depending on how the game is going.
But the line tactics seems a bit lame in my opinion. With only four categories, compared to EHM's ten, and not being able to change positioning. As well as missing personal tactics, which is a key thing for me, is a big loss.

And is there only four (Six with goalie) different training settings? Where each player can have two of them at the same time?

Other then that, I really like the outcome of this game. The interface looks smooth, the trading and signing seems more realistic. Maybe I should give it a try :-)

I just checked the DB Editor and there are in fact attributes for staff - they're just not set yet.

If you want to get the game, I'd get it sooner rather than later because there's currently a $10 discount. I don't know exactly when the discount will end, but it'll be at some point before September's release.

I can't check right now, but perhaps another user can advise.
