Goalie injured - not able to progress

Post by JamSiberius »

Jesus, okay... My goalie got injured in the last game and I had only 2 goalies in my roster (Liiga, finnish league). Now I can't progress in the game as the game give's me an error that there is an injured player / empty spot in the roster... And I couldn't take anyone from my youth team either. Is there any way of getting past this ???

Now that I got on the roll, I have also noticed some extremely unexpected changes in my lines during games and between games... Even though everything should be controlled by me, has anyone else noticed this.... And is there any solution for this?

Thanks again.

are you playing EHM or FHM? If EHM...post is in correct spot and you have to change your GM setttings to control setting lineup (coach could be controlling it). If you are playing FHM...wrong spot...and NO HELP. The goalie thing in EHM is usually solved by a greyed out goalie, but if not then try signing some sieve free agent.

I just had this happen to me, and it isnt fixed with Batdad's suggestions

I lost a goalie, and ended up STUCK because I only had 1 goalie on the team, period, no greys, and I couldnt progress to sign a goalie, or trade because it weas right before a game. I had to send someone down to "reset" my rostor, giving me new grey players, one of which I was able to play as back up goalie, which allowed me to progress

I'm playing FHM... This is extremely annoying. Couldn't even sign any players as there is a bug which makes it impossible to make any contract offers to ANY players, great. I guess I need to start a new game.... After they have released a few more updates and bug fixes to this one.

Is there an actual holiday mode in the game?

Yup, this thread was in the wrong forum earlier. It was moved here from the EHM general discussion forum.

I was talking about EHM, and yours wouldnt have worked

if for some reason you end up with only one goalie, period, on the rostor, you cant play a game, which means you cant sim forward to sign or trade. In which case you have to call someone up, goalie or not, to reset the rostor into recalculating, and giving you a proper grey player. Its just a dumb glitch that will almost never happen in normal game play

For FHM: You can change every players position, even to Goalie. I tried it several times, unfortunately not much talent on the non-goalies between
the pipes. This way it should work
