The changes between versions make it like playing two completely different versions basically. The new version is amazing not just graphically but also the database of players and staff is a gigantic difference with over 32,000 players now. You really should look into getting the new version. You can demo it for 6 months of in-game time for free, check it out.
Demo EHM 2005/6
We didn't restore more of our '04-only files because really there isn't much demand for them.

Playing a year or two old sports sim isn't exactly retro though, it's just innacurate and lacking a ton of features in this case which is why I don't understand why anyone would want to do it in this case if they knew the difference that the two represent
Due to the July release and the uncertainty of this year's NHL, technically 2005 came out in July and then 2006 was born with the addition/restructuring of the "New NHL". That was provided as a free upgrade to any current 2005 users. So the version due out around the beginning of next year's NHL season will actually be NHL 2007. So if you have 2005 then you are actually just the matter of a patch or two away from being up to the current version; all of our add-ons work with the base 2005 version as well as all the subsequent patches.
