I need a challenge!

Post by archibalduk »

Now that the final patch has come out, I'm want to do a long term game by starting at the bottom and working my way up to the NHL. The only problem I have is choosing a team to manage. :?

Who do you think I should manage if I want a challenge?
IIRC, someone said a lower league Finnish team would be a good challenge so I was thinking of managing a lower league team from there. But any suggestions are welcome!

Try Feldkirch in Austrian league. They have considerably good team, but are in big depts (at least in RL, I assume it's the same in the game). They usually finish at the bottom in my games.

Give the Kassel Huskies in the DEL a shot.

I tried them for one season and it was terrible :-D I couldn't get the team to score... they just didn't want to i guess :dunno:

Near the end of the season my top line of Valenti, Serikow, and Ulmer was responding a bit under the Physical Offensive default with barrage shooting and a couple other adjustments...

Good luck with whatever team you pick

In last year's EHM I played with Valerenga in Norway and after winning back to back titles years 2 and 3 I still wasn't exactly well regarded worldwide so if you wnat a challenging route to the NHL that would be one.

Hehe this thread is a year and a half old :D

In the end I chose a small Finnish club but I can't remember their name. I had a pretty successful time with them but always fell apart at the end to miss out from top spot. I stopped playing it after EHM 2005 came out. I wonder if I still have the saved game :-k
