Eastside's Hockey Elite Collide (EHEC)

Post by TB EHEC GM »

Hey, my name is Justin and I am the Tampa Bay GM of EHEC. I am here to let Blueline members know about EHEC, one of the longest running EHM leagues on the internet. Adam Burke (CBJ GM) is our commissioner, and has been for the five years the league has run. He is far and away the most committed commissioner I have seen, and is chalked full of integrity. We simulate using EHM Freeware, and go by one in-game day to one real life day. This allows us to use the NHL schedule and input real life draftee's each year. Our co-commissioner is Bub, the NYR GM. He is a long-time EHM community member. Also, Tim McGaw (WSH GM) and Dan Taranu (SJ GM) help Adam with various league tasks.

We have a large core of GMs who have been around for all five seasons, and almost all of our GMs check the forums on a daily basis. Also, we've heavily revised EHM's wonky finances, meaning you have a lot more to think about than just making trades and acquiring superstars. However, the league plans to simplify our rulebook this off-season and that will include modifying financial regulations. Also, we accounted for realignment this season and have up-to-date NHL/AHL affiliations.

One of the best part is EHEC is our website, designed by Quinn (COL GM). The General Manager Control Panel allows you to see your team's payroll, upload lines to the website rather than email as an attachment, send instructions to the league email and view player development. The website almost replaces the use for the software, so if you are a MAC user or don’t like the freeware interface, the GM Control Panel has almost everything you need.

First time EHM users to veterans are welcome to apply. Many GMs are not only interested in winning, but helping the league grow and maintain its active GM base. Many members will be happy to help you with EHM or EHEC related questions.

Available teams:

PHX: Champs in season 2, PHX is currently one of the top teams in the league. Loungo, OEL, Doan, Richards and J. Staal is the core of this elite level franchise. They do not possess their 1st round pick this season. PHX has been one of the most dominant teams in EHEC history, and would be an incredible franchise to take over.
