Question about rosters in ehm

I recently downloaded a old roster from ehm site, then i unzipped it it to the ehm directory... however when i open the editor to change something in the roster its not the roster that it should be... however if i create a directory on my computer and copy the roster to that directory and then open it in the editor it is the correct roster but when i copy it to the actual ehm database directory in the ehm main directory its not the roster that it should be and ehm crashes... is this a editor problem or a ehm problem..

the roster that shows up in ehm is a ehm 2012-2013 roster that i was using but however i have deleted the database directory from the main ehm directory and coped the one i want to use and still shows up as the 2012-2013 roster but not in the user created directory on my computer... if this confuses anyone let me know and ill problemly update it better..
