Setting practice intensity in EHM:EA?
I don't know if I remember this properly, but I thought that in EHM 2007 you were able to set training intensity for each area of training. If so, where can I do this in EHM:EA? So far, I seem to have to use the different default training types without being able to edit them/adjust them to my own needs.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

The training screen is identical to the one in 2007.
If u can't find it go trough those steps.
1. Click your name at the middle of the screen and select "general manager options"
2. Make sure "Head coach takes control of practice" is set to no.
3. Click your name again and select "team roster"
4. Select prctice and then proceed to schedule.
5. Just as in 2007, u can now create different training programs and change the intensity in all of them.

Okay, thanks!
Maybe I set my head coach to take care of practice. Will check this evening.

I don't see anywhere to manually change the intensity in there. I have been using Malhotra's old practice guideline, but it would be nice if someone could test it out, as well as update it so all the attributes are covered, such as bravery, determination, influence, etc. I have been pretty vigilantly following that guide and I haven't seen many changes in the numbers.Philly48 wrote:The training screen is identical to the one in 2007.

Re: Setting practice intensity in EHM:EA?
I've found that the 3 intense/3 medium really grinds players down...after a few months of it I had a noticeable increase in injuries.
There's also the chance that some attributes may not increase much/quickly/at all for some players. If a guy doesn't have the talent to get a better wristshot, practicing ain't gonna make him any better.

it is not meant to be used all the time. At least that is the experience I have. At most I use it from end of playoffs to the end of October, mid November.

I need to start messing around with this, i'm usually just going with the all medium one on intensive all season long then go full intensive during the summer, doesn't seem to work well in this game, might just be because of the slow development though since the only real save i've had was on the first patch aswell

Re: Setting practice intensity in EHM:EA?
I still can't manually set intensity. I have the option to practice Off. Skill, Def. Skill, Fitness, etc., which all have varying intensities for various skills. But I can't set say, Off. Skill, to medium intensity.
Am I not understanding something?

You have to choose a specific practice schedule and then at the bottom you will see the intensity for specific areas of practiceUemoda wrote:I still can't manually set intensity. I won't lie: In my DET game I accidentally left my team on OFFSEASON (everything intense) and... I noticed no extra wear and tear compared to letting the Coach handle it.

Re: Setting practice intensity in EHM:EA?
Yeah, that is happening to me right now. The only guys who have any stamina issues are the young ones with poor attributes in that area as they develop. Everyone else is handling the workload easily. Even guys like Voracek Giroux Del Zotto Trouba...who average over 20 minutes per game each and every game. Risk of injury is still there for them but I do agree there is a slightly less risk than there was in EHM 2007. Not much, but a little...and should be more.
Every once in while I have to rest guys like Nick Jensen, Morgan Klimchuk, Sven Baertschi....and Chris Tanev....but not the more experienced guys.

Re: Setting practice intensity in EHM:EA?
RE: the injury thing: way too many guys show as being susceptible to injury when you scout them. That's another nit I have to pick. I don't know what their threshold is for deciding that, but it mayeb needs to be lowered a bit. As it is, most young guys you scout show as being injury prone.batdad wrote:Yeah, that is happening to me right now. Re: Setting practice intensity in EHM:EA?
So far I've bumped my schedules up to 1 intense, around the rest medium/light depending on position(overall higher than the general option) - condition has remained at 100% for most of the season and very few injuries so I've bumped it up for this season to see what happens!
I did also leave my whole team on these schedules in the off season - should I be changing this to rest or conditioning at some point? There wasn't any notification about players going on holiday but they did all suddenly drop to poor condition levels a couple months before the season started - didn't know if this was the toil of having 365 day training or just that they automatically went on holiday and came back so I can just leave my schedule as it is!
With football manager I always did 2 weeks conditioning/fitness before a season started when they come back from holiday and left them as is the rest of the time, not sure if this game is basically the same?

I always rest my players during the off season and their conditioning drops then too, just think its a way of simulating players not being in game shape when training camp starts.lemming3k wrote:There wasn't any notification about players going on holiday but they did all suddenly drop to poor condition levels a couple months before the season started - didn't know if this was the toil of having 365 day training or just that they automatically went on holiday and came back so I can just leave my schedule as it is!

Seems that way, had to rest a few in the first few weeks of the season since I tweaked my schedule, might have overdone it a bit!Joe wrote:I always rest my players during the off season and their conditioning drops then too, just think its a way of simulating players not being in game shape when training camp starts.lemming3k wrote:There wasn't any notification about players going on holiday but they did all suddenly drop to poor condition levels a couple months before the season started - didn't know if this was the toil of having 365 day training or just that they automatically went on holiday and came back so I can just leave my schedule as it is!

Anyone have a solid practice schedule that seems to work well for them? I can't seem to figure anything out..

Re: Setting practice intensity in EHM:EA?
I can't comment on anything outside of the NHL, but I set the Unused option to "OFFSEASON" and everything to Intense, and then leave it on all year long. Right now, the A.I. has an unfair advantage in developing players, and this seems to counter that fairly well.ayr wrote:Anyone have a solid practice schedule that seems to work well for them?
