Changing The Salary Cap With ArtMoney (EHM 07 only)

Post by Leafs_fever »

Creating a Table

1)Download ArtMoney and install.

2)Open a game in EHM 07 and open ArtMoney

3)Select EHM from the ArtMoney drop down list

4)Search for the salary cap as an exact value integer

5)Select the address in the left column and click the green arrow. (If there is more then one address look at the notes)

6)Under the value column in the right side change it to you cap of choice (without punctuation).

7)Save

Loading a Table
To load a table, simply start up ArtMoney and select load

Notes
1.You must have ArtMoney running for the cap to stay changed.

2.When searching for small Caps you will run into lots of results, many of them representing players' salaries. I don't know how you can figure out which one is which other then trial and error.

3.Should this screw up you game I am not responsible. Though I doubt it will.

4.Feel free to ask any questions.

Was this the software that was designed for Football Manager?

Once you've made your desired changes, save EHM. Then the change becomes permanent and you can close ArtMoney. That applies to any changes made by ArtMoney.

I think it's just a hex editor... but I'm not sure...

Anybody else know for certain?

try
1)Open Artmoney
2)Load EHM game
3)Load table
4)Exit ArtMoney
that will likley work, but the game might check its "hard copy' during play. If it does you'd have to open ArtMoney back up and load up the table to reset it.

It's a hex editor that changes your active memory instead of the file itself

I'm afraid you're incorrect, friend.

You make your changes with ArtMoney open, utilizing the table if desired. Once changes are made, save your game, then these changes become a part of your savegame. You can close ArtMoney at that time. If it isn't working properly for you, you might be doing something wrong.

Don't think anyone who is a regular around here knows much about art money. I Could be wrong but I would check on si forums for that stuff if I were you. Smetana uses it but he is not around here very often (at least since he finished his research here and his database for saved games came out)

Why cant you just use the rules_config file in the database of your game? instead of this?

You can. IF you are starting a new game. This software allows you to make these types of changes to an existing game.

It seems more logical just to open up the config file that is in the database and just fixing it there, but whatever.

The save game editor put out by the eastside-uk.co.uk team can do this and a whole lot easier.

This is indeed pointless now. When I wrote this the cap was hard coded and there was no config file.

Never said that this wasn't a good program to use or whatever. Personally I never cared to edit the salary cap when the game came out or whatever.

Sorry if what I said bothered you or anyone else.
