As much as I am afraid of starting new topics, I could not find anything of resemblance and considered it worthy of its own thread.
To the point:
Could we have a new sub-forum to the ice hockey talk, where we can comment on individual matches when they are on? These topics could then be locked and deleted a few days afterwards.

Re: Forum Suggestions/Ideas Thread
I'm always open to suggestions.
My concern is that I'm not sure there is really demand for individual match threads. Take the 2014/15 NHL Thread for example; it only had 556 posts. People tend not to post about individual matches but rather about the occasional notable incident or how teams are performing in general.
What do others think?

I was thinking the same. The occasional thread might pop up, but I don't see it expanding into long, deep conversations -- the NHL thread gets a post every now and then as it is, but that's about it.

I would not think that there would be activity all the time, but for some important matches like Olympic knockout rounds or Stanley Cup finals, it could generate interest.

I am like archi and tasku on this one. Olympics, World Juniors, World Cup, NHL all get their own threads, as do some other big competitions. For our # of users that is enough I would think. Playoffs get their own as well. And the biggest one? Still British snooker.

Snooker is love, snooker is life!batdad wrote:And the biggest one? Still British snooker.

But yeah, I understand your point. TBL may be too small for the idea to work.
