Tonight is THE night for many of us here on TBL. The Canucks vs. Wings, the Pens vs. Phillys, and the battle of Alberta. I'm so excited! Hope whatever team you cheer for will win tonight... Let the season begins!

The Bruins don't play there first game untill Friday. Got my Boston time though on my dashboard so I can keep up with the time etc.

Chicago starts out with what has not at all quitely become quite a hotly contested rivalry with the Predlies. It's definitely in the 'new rivalries' category but over the past few years these teams have really gotten quite the hate on for each other with multiple brawls and emotional incidents.

Those team vs team things get watered down now with so much player movement these days so we'll never see a real blood feud like Detroit-Colorado years ago but Preds-Hawks are always one of those game that will be fought tooth and nail.
