In a few of my test games for EHM, I've noticed that, no matter how big or inclusive the database, the vast (and I'm talking like 90%) majority of high-reputation players are Canadian or American, even when I've edited in a few players to have great CAs. This has me scratching my head a bit because I don't know how to read it. So...
1) What exactly is reputation measuring? Is it a combination of CA/PA, or form? Or stats?
2) What is the difference between Home Rep, Current Rep and World Rep? How come non-North American players have widely different Home/Current Reps and World Reps?
3) Which Reputation does the game use when it determines player rep? Or is it a combo of all three?
4) How does reputation change? Does scouting affect it? Is it always up to date or does it update during certain times of the year?
Thank you
How does Reputation work?

Re: How does Reputation work?
1) It measures how famous the player is. I believe it has to do with how high-profile the club he is playing for is, how much playing time he gets there, and so on.
2) Home Reputation is the reputation the player has in his home country, Current Reputation is the reputation the player has in the country where he is playing at the moment, and World Reputation is how highly the player is regarded worldwide.
3) I am not sure, but I would guess it depends on the player's level. Maybe.
4) I am fairly certain it can change at any time. Scouting probably does not have an effect on it.

I see. That seems to match up with what I've seen. Thanks for the reply

Re: How does Reputation work?
As far as I can tell Rep only goes up when stuff happens, like winning awards and cups
To add to that, as far as I can tell, Rep never goes down. In my current saves ALL of the NHL are currently 10000 Rep except for like 3 or 4 which just have not had success.
It also does not go down for players, as long as a player has the rep he will always be a star, even when he's old and washed up
It's a pretty flawed system

I'd disagree with you there Animal. I've seen my players lose their rep from superb to v.good numerous times, especially as they start getting older. That might've been the case in EA, but not anymore.
