AHL Teams have not enough players

Post by WookieCrasher »

Hi guys,
don't know where i have to post this topic and i didn't found anything with the search option.

After some season some ahl teams have only 13 players and can't even suit up a full line up.
Can someone say me where the problem is?

Safe to say I have never seen this.

What database are you using (and what version of EHM I guess)? And what year are you in that you saw this?

Are the Moose being human managed or AI managed?
Is it just the Moose? if it's more AHL teams too, how many more?
What Leagues do you have on Enhanced? and what size of Database are you using?

Sorry for the many questions, just trying to understand :-)

Manitoba's parent team is Winnipeg right? How many contracts does Winnipeg have out of their 50 limt? Could it be a perfect storm of a bit of CPU mismanagement and a bit of Winnipeg not having a lot of contracts?

Because that also specificallly seems like an unusually-small amount of green (parent-assigned) players. I often see only 2 or 3 guys on AHL teams actually signed by the AHL team, the rest assigned by the parent, and it still fills the team out, or more even.

Just had a look into the AHL in my save and am seeing similar stuff.
Rockford IceHogs: 18 Players (10 on NHL contract, 6 AHL), 2 of them injured. No injuries on their parent club.
Chicago Wolves: 16 Players (9 NHL, 6 AHL, 1 fill-in in grey font), 1 of them injured. 1 player on IR on their parent club.
Also a handful of other teams on the brink (20 players), but some have more than 5 players who count towards the veteran rule.
I have a GM active in the AHL for my farmteam.

No, the only team i manage are the Sarnia Sting from the OHL.

Many more, Providence Bruins, Bridgeport Sound Tigers, Hartford Wolf Pack, Hershey Bears, Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins, Toronto Marlies, Binghamton Senators, Utica Comets, Rochester Americans, Albany Devils, Grand Rapids Griffins, Rockford IceHogs, Chicago Wolves, San Antonio Rampage, San Jose Barracuda, Ontario Reign and Bakersfield Condors.
In all those teams is at least one player too less.

NHL, AHL, ECHL, OHL, WHL, QMJHL and Memorial Cup are enhanced.

Where can i see the size of my database?

The Jets have 39 players signed.

Yes, some teams have like 5 or 6 players who count towards the veteran rule.

When you first start a game, on the Select Options screen you choose your database size (between Minimum, Normal, Large, and Full)
That's also where you select whether you add extra Players and/or Staff to your game.....
Once your game has started you can see what size database you choose by checking your Preferences (but you can't change database size once a game has begun)

Sounds like there might be an issue/bug though...if you can it'd be best if you could report it and upload your saved game on the SI/EHM Bugs Forum http://community.sigames.com/forumdispl ... Bugs-Forum

To me, having 11 open NHL contract slots is unusual, and I'd be curious to know why. Is it budget? Cap? Just a GM with terrible attributes? How many payers are the Jets carrying on their NHL roster, all 23?

I often play on Normal database size (with only NHL, AHL, ECHL, and Canadian juniors ticked off) and I still don't see problems like that, FWIW.
