Re: Rosters?
He is not, that I'm aware of.msu07 wrote:Hi, used to check fhockey all the time for the newest rosters, but for some reason the forums are down. There was a guy named Hokay who did some amazing rosters, is he on this board?
I'm not sure what the status is of the FHokey forums. The main website remains up at the moment, but the phpBB forums are down with a common error (which could be anything). Whether it's temporary, or permanent, I'm unsure right now.
Fhockey has been very dead for some time now, so I'm not sure if anyone was planning on continuing to update the freeware rosters. Vik and Hokay (the last two to take the mantle) both have done a great job for years now with diminishing returns as the userbase has faded away. It's been painful to see.

I'll look into it and see what, if anything, I can find.

" After nearly 14 years I am calling it quits, I am not a young man anymore and have given all I can. I would like to thank all of the people who supported this website for so many years and helped keep the freeware game alive.
Last year we started to transition the files for the freeware game over to The Blue Line. There is a great community over there, I encourage you to visit them. http://www.ehmtheblueline.com. You will find everything EHM and more there."

Re: Rosters?
I knew months ago that Tie was going to be taking FHockey down. That's part of the reason that the files moved over to TBL of course, and he talked Archi or someone into making me Freeware Mod here. But I didn't know if this was actually it finally. So I didn't want to say anything.

I remember way back when the "official" freeware forums were at peliplanetta (sp?), and I was slow to migrate over to FHockey way back then. That was so, so long ago.

Yeah, I got an email from Tie last night saying the boards are dead.
Too bad, especially since this site appears to be 99% dedicated to the inferior versions of EHM.

No, this board covers all of EHM, including your personal favourite http://www.ehmtheblueline.com/forums/vi ... .php?f=133lewis94 wrote:Yeah, I got an email from Tie last night saying the boards are dead.

The fact that there's not a lot of freeware talk http://www.ehmtheblueline.com/forums/vi ... .php?f=112 I suppose is because few people think that the later/latest EHM is inferior (but that's not the site's fault); I discovered EHM in 2010 through freeware first, and didn't notice fhockey as ever being really "active" in the last 6 years

That's really really sad... I used to love reading other's game stories and random weirdness happening in their game. RIP fhockey

Yeah, fhockey has been pretty dead for a while now. I was one of a few still posting game stories and such. But I'll still take the freeware every day of the week. The other games that call themselves EHM are so full of inane details that it's overwhelming to try to sim a season.

Re: FHockey
Not yet. I have no real way of contacting them outside of FHockey, so right now it'll depend on whether they make the move over to here or not. FHockey's front page links here to TBL, so hopefully some folks will eventually end up here.temkaUU wrote:any news from Hokay or Vik or shawn if they are going to support community with 16-17 rosters and staff files?

Hi guys,
My account was created several years ago, but I've never posted on this forum yet. I'm still being active to provide updated versions of my roster file. It's actually pretty close to being released for the 2016-2017 season, I just need to finish updating some players.

I wondered if, when Fhockey went down, it would even matter to anyone, and clearly it does. People still want those freeware roster updates. There's still an audience there (beyond just me anyways).

Re: FHockey
Luc Snuggerud, another great Blackhawk prospect, hes like a "Kieth" accoarding to his College coach(Nebraska), good skating too. Ik youve got a lot on your hands for editing but this is what pretty much needs to be done with the Blackhawks prospects system, overall. Not as good as Kieths potential wise, but close to it.(Please dont make him to be AS good as Kieth) ThanksHokay wrote:Hi guys,

Can you also make Nick Schmaltz better on the Blackhawks? Look him up, he's in the top 40 NHL prospects, he's a C but also a RW, thank you! This would be awesome and more realistic and much appreciated

Re: FHockey
Thanks for the suggestions, I've already updated a ton of youngsters, but I'll go back to these two to make sure they match what they should be.HlackBawks wrote:Luc Snuggerud, another great Blackhawk prospect, hes like a "Kieth" accoarding to his College coach(Nebraska), good skating too. By stats you mean the ratings or the GP G A PTS? I created goalies with a potential rate lower than their OA so they boost when a savefile is created, they're the only players who should have ratings change.HlackBawks wrote:When i start up a new game, every time, some player's stats changes(mainly rookies), i dont know why

Re: FHockey
Great to see the Fhockey community found a home here. EHM Freeware is alive and still kicking in places. In a couple of months the GHL will have been up and running for 15 years.
