Flu Epidemic

Post by StealthB2X »

Is there a way to prevent the flu from spreading mercilessly through my roster?

I'm about to enter the cup final with 4 of my players having gone down with a flu. Four of my top players.

Wish I could give you an answer on this one. You just have to keep them out of the lineup and ride it out.

Yeah, this is the first time I've ever countered the flu. Even in this save where I'm up to season 2026-27. Basically One guy went down, then two days later 2 more players got it, then finally the next day a fourth.

I 'scratched' them as I awaited the Western conference to settle their conference final out, and it seemed to stop spreading then, though I'm not sure if that's just a coincidence.

I actually love this. Adds to the realism. Sucks that players on your team got the flu at the worst possible time but I love the fact that this can happen.

I have seen this in real life. Sens vs the Leafs February 5th, 2004. Sens lost to the leafs in OT and lost over half their bench during the game. Some of the players who did manage to stick around kept leaving to go throw up in the hall way. Neil even won his fight against Nathan Perrot.

Off-topic but I remember the same thing happened to the Blues a couple of years ago. They left thrash cans near the bench for the players. :D

Was that in case that team from Atlanta came back to play?

In 1919 they had to cancel the whole Stanley Cup Final due to a Flu Epidemic.
One Canadiens player even died from the flu
