Fantasy Updates/Leagues
Wondering if there are any fantasy leagues or roster updates that people have made? There are a few 'alternate universe' ones for FHM (eg: http://www.ootpdevelopments.com/board/f ... eague.html) but I enjoy EHM better and find it more fun to play. Just curious if there's something available in this genre.

Re: Fantasy Updates/Leagues
I've never seen/heard of a fantasy database for EHM
FHM allows for a limited world to create a fantasy database (IIRC 1 pro league, 1 minor pro league and 1 junior league), while with EHM you'd have to use the entire real world as your starting point, and that's a lot of editing! Also, at this point the number of teams in a league can't be edited in EHM (should be able to eventually with Archi's work-in-progress editor)

Re: Fantasy Updates/Leagues
Would it not be possible to make a fantasy database with the EHM Updater and then converting the database? If I remember correctly, it included the possibility of setting CA and PA in each league according to certain parametres, and as for the person names, one could just untick the real name option at game start-up.

Re: Fantasy Updates/Leagues
For teams/leagues you'd have to use the 2006 structure (and change team names with the PreGame Editor) or a 2014/2015 structure (and make all the team/league name changes and then "force" the changes so the renaming works http://www.ehmtheblueline.com/forums/vi ... se#p210369); in the future editing number of teams will be possible, but it's not nowA9L3E wrote:Would it not be possible to make a fantasy database with the EHM Updater and then converting the database? It's easy to create a database full of fake players/staff, just start with a blank database and tick off all the create players/staff options when starting a game (that's part of the process in my underdatabase concept http://www.ehmtheblueline.com/forums/vi ... 10&t=16779)
There's no way of setting CA/PA ranges though
The untick using real names doesn't actually create new players/staff, just changes the names; the default databases that come with the EHM are essentially the TBL databases with changed/fake names
OOTP (with baseball, a much simpler/smaller "world" than hockey) and FHM (with only a few leagues) have "wizards" to simplify the process and do much of the work for the user...while EHM is a HUGE world in comparison and would require much much more effort by the user if a fantasy database was to be created
But it is possible to do, just no one's done it AFAIK
