Team Report
How do they determine the rankings of the players? I assumed it was by skill or potential skill but for example using the Leafs, according to the team report Morgan Rielly is our #4 dman when in really he should be our #1 guy. They have Hunwick in the top spot (lol) Also Matthews if listed as our #5 centermen even though he's clearly our #1 guy. They even have Holland ranked above him. This team report doesn't really seem very reliable. Maybe i'm missing something?

The assistant GM is in charge of producing the team reports and the product is influenced by the value of his attributes at Judging player's ability and Judging player's potential. The biggest factor in your case is that the most recent rosters are dating from last season and that some rookies this year are very underated and their in game CA doesn't reflect what's IRL. New rosters are being made atm and should give you a more IRL depth chart.
