Belfour Bellies Up To The Bar Again...

Here's one from the "Yeah, This Isn't Suprising" files: Belfour invlolved in yet another ugly off-ice incident involving his being drunken and beligerant this time with teammate Alex Auld ending up with a cut over his eye that needed stitches to close:

"Sources told Florida newspapers Belfour was drunk and disruptive at about 3:30 a.m. when teammates came to try to coax him out of a bar adjacent to the team's hotel. Auld says he sustained his injury when he slipped on a bottle of water that Belfour spilled on the marble floor. No one with the team cares to discuss the issue, but it's worth mentioning that Belfour has a history with alcohol-related problems -- most notably, the incident in 2000 where he offered officers $1 billion to not arrest him in Dallas."

He's a class act that Belfour... though when I said Auld would be hurt by Belfour's presence I didn't mean it literally

The post was good until I got to that last line...

The last line made it great.

Belfour should just retire so he can go be drunk all he wants.

I guess he toned it down in TO, cause for sure if he had done something here it woul be front page news for weeks.

That's a pretty vicious bottle of water. I guess the bottle of water's name must be "Ed Belfour".

Ahh the Eagle has flown again. All TV's still in stable condition? God that guy is loony.

They actually had to spray him with mace in Dallas to get him under control if I remember correctly... he's a real gem.
