Editing a player so he score less or more.

Post by krownroyal83 »

So for all you guys that are experts in editing players what things do you change if you think a player is scoring too much or too little? Is it a combo of attributes and current ability or something else? For example in the current rosters i'm using, Zach Parise scores way too many goals compared to real life. Now I know this is the case for a lot of players in this game but he scores around 40 per season which I think is too much for him at this stage of his career. What things should I be changing to lower his goal scoring to something more accurate? Thanks in advance :)

For tweaking/fine-tuning like you're looking to do I think I'd start with adjusting Consistency...Offensive Role, Creativity (Vision) and Anticipation might be worth looking at too

If you started editing Attributes much I'd highly recommend doublechecking to ensure your edits are actually showing up ingame...the game has "sanity checks" and you can't just edit any way you want, and the game will change human edits in some cases (for example, a check on one player in the Vegas DB this summer found of the 35 "Attribute points" added to a player 28 had been removed by the game at startup http://hfboards.hockeysfuture.com/showp ... tcount=359)

While I think minor changes can be made without issue, significant changes need to take into consideration things like player age, CA level and Player Role too (and which Attributes don't ever change, which change rarely/only a bit and which change "normally")

Thanks for the tips I appreciate it. Generally any player that's in the most updated rosters doesn't need significant changes anyway, but there are always some tweaks that can be made.
