Which teams to invite to an exhibition tournament?

Post by BulldogsFan »

I want to create a U17 tournament for my CHL team a week before camp begins like the NHL teams do with their rookie tournaments.. Have a tournament and then the players that do well invite them to our main camp etc... My question is what teams would be good to play against? like USHL teams so they have mostly 16-17 yr olds or Jr A teams etc what do ppl suggest?

There are very few leagues that have 17 as age limit.
Try midget leagues as they have 18 as limit. Their quality is lower than CHL, so you'll probably win easy. I don't see how that helps your team in any way
If you invite USHL and Junior A then they can have U20 players. It is probably better to let your young prospects try themselves against older guys so you can see if they are good enough to bring up to your team
