Hasek to retire if lock-out continues

Post by archibalduk »

If the NHL lockout continues into next season, Dominik Hasek will retire.

"I told [Ottawa Senators' general manager] John Muckler that if there's no deal by September then you're going to have to get yourself another goalie," Hasek told Sun Media. "That's not what I want ... I want to play, but I can't have this uncertainty for my family."

Hasek signed a two-year contract with the Senators in July. He has a career record of 296-192-82 in 13 seasons with the Detroit Red Wings, Buffalo Sabres and Chicago Blackhawks.
