I purchased the game on steam and it appears to be version 1.4.xxxxxxxx
I was curious how this relates to seeing EHM 2004/2005/2007
What's the difference?

Also, is there a saved game editor for my version?
There are so many broken links for so many versions, I'm lost.

Yes the version on Steam is EHM 1 v1.4. This is the latest version of EHM. The EHM 2004/2005/2007 releases are older. The Editor is here: https://www.ehmtheblueline.com/editor

I have a follow up on my own question from 3 years ago. I have the game 1.4.1 on steam and now I see there is a 1.5 version.
Is this something I have to pay for? Because I see no way to just upgrade through steam.

And here is my own answer:

How can I access this Public Beta?
Follow these instructions to access the Public Beta version 1.5:

- Open Steam
- Go to ‘Eastside Hockey Manager’ within your Steam Library
- Right-Click on the game and select 'Properties'
- Select the 'Beta'
- Via the 'Select the beta you would like to opt into' dropdown, select 'public beta'
- This will now begin the download process for the Public Beta update
- Close the Properties panel by clicking the ‘X’ in the top-right hand corner and launch the game when the download has completed
