New Major Junior Hockey League and a NHL without trades?

Hi, i were having a thought about making a new major junior league, either consolidating the CHL in some way or creating a new in the united states again. A major junior league where the best u-20 from the whole world who dont play senior hockey goes to play. I havent tried around in the editor yet was just wondering if anyone tried anything similar or know that it wont work or have any thoughts around possible problems.

Also was thinking about re-doing the NHL affiliate system at the same time to a more European way. With no drafts, rights or trades where each team has a major junior team(in above mentioned league) and a Junior A team(either teams in different leagues based on proximity or a new league. Any thoughts on this and the possibility of it working?

There are a fair amount of rules (possibly hardcoded) related to junior leagues and rights in North America. Definitely worth experimenting and documenting what works and what doesn't, but I think there will be limitations related to junior leagues as affiliates in North America.

The Transfer Rules screen will have the main settings you'll need to change. Take a look at a Euro league and then compare with your NA leagues. However, as ideawihtouamind says, there is a lot which is hardcoded so I don't know whether you can remove things such as rights and almost certainly not the drafts.

Ive started with the first part of my original post, the MJHL(Major Junior Hockey League) in the United States. I get a error now not sure from where since its in the "Initializing game data" phase. Its impossible to go past and it says two things, "SHORT_DATE::SHORT_DATE() : month passed is invalid" and "SHORT_DATE::SHORT_DATE() : day of month passed is invalid". Any thoughts? My two cents are that its something in rules and structure or schedules but i havent found anything that looks wrong yet. Anyone know what the code is pointing at?

It's means you have an invalid month and date in a schedule template or schedule date. E.g. you've tried to set a month to month number 13 or a date such as 31 Feb.

Found the issue, one of the schedule templates ive done had only zeros for dates in it all of a sudden.

I have a new Issue and not sure why it happens. When starting a new game i can start with all leagues active except my two new created leagues and it works. I can start with only my leagues and the NHL, it works. All american leagues(mine are american) and it works. However when i try all leagues and add mine it crashes on "initializing game data" without a error code at about 70-80% of the bar filled. Any idea why this could be? As i said above the leagues work without error codes(only simmed about a month since im not done yet) on setup when they are selected on their own. Im still checking around with different starting setups to see if i can isolate the error more but any helping thoughts would be appreciated.

I personally would try country by country and see which one causes the issue.

If you upload it, I could take a look as well, but without knowing the details, I don't think I can provide a lot of help.
