RIP Gump Worsley

He was always one of my favourites growing up. I can't remember how many times he took a puck off the noggin and would get a nasty cut, but keep right on playing. Gump and Rogie Vachon together in Montreal in the 60's were one of the best 1-2 combinations I ever saw.

I had to re-read that like 3 times to make sure I was understanding that...

Anyways thats too bad. Unfortunately I was around when he played so I'll never be able to appreciate the way he played.

I would be terrified to be in goal with out a mask. I cant imagine getting beaned in the face with 80+ slapshot. Whats funny is as im typing this Lidstrom just got hit behind the ear with the puck. How ironic.
