Expansion

Post by V4ND3RP00L »

Have any of you ever thought of expanding the site into more than just EHM? When I say that, I mean did you ever think about adding in extra things for people to talk about the NHL or any other leagues?

I feel that if you expanded this place to have people come in and discuss anything about their NHL team or whatever, it could be a big thing. I think you could turn more people towards EHM in that aspect, because most people who find this place are the people who only play EHM and enjoy hockey as well. You don't get too many people who probably post and wonder what EHM is or what this place is about. I know once they find out what it is, they never turn back.

That's why I think if you expanded the site to just include a few more things. Such as forums for the NHL and other leagues and we started to share this more and more on just complete hockey sites, then maybe we could get more of a fan base for EHM and possibly, if we got that and we had tons of people register on SIGames to download it, that might make a nice impact on the game later down the road.

It's just an idea that I have been thinking about lately and I feel that it could help this place. I know that I use to run my own site that just worried about doing graphics for people. Whether it was avatars, banners, websites, or whatever. We did it, but we would have some people ask us about other random things, like programs and stuff of that nature. That's when I opened up a section of the site that offered you help on all of those other things and guess what? That place just exploded with new people and it made it enjoyable as well. That site is long gone, but that is just a good example of what expansion can do for you.

I hope some of you take this into consideration, I think it would be a good thing. But if you decide not to do it, I understand completely. It's hard to take risks if they aren't going to give anything in return.

I'm talking about bigger, not just something small like that.

We already have a Forum to discuss the NHL (and any other hockey leagues) right at the bottom of the Forum listings. There's no demand for anything greater. I could make 30 Forums; one for each NHL team but you'd find only one or two posts in a couple of them. I don't think a site can expand/broaden if there's no demand for it.

Maybe expanding this site was the wrong thought for just a second. It might be that you need to join up with another website.

Not really turn into one, but definitely share information with one another. Whether it is putting up links to their site and them doing the same for you or whatever.

It can be other EHM communities, NHL sites, AHL sites, or whatever. I just want to see the word get's out about this place. It's a shame that we don't have more active members then what we do.
