Live Streams of Ice Hockey?

Post by grazza »

Just wondering if there are any live streams of any ice hockey games of any league on the internet using programs like ppstream or CoolStreaming.

ideally available for free.

Would be great to watch some european ice hockey and some NHL etc

If there is an link directly to a single live game don't actually link that as that isn't really allowed but if you could give me a link to the site its on.

I reckon there will probably be NHL games about and I will probably be able to find them when it starts but if there is any other hockey that would be great.

Yeah, that would be great!

Sadly the only one I've found is the Blues webcam in the Season Kicking off - thread, but it's currently out of use, and it's likely not smooth video stream.

I watched ESPN with "World Online TV", but I don't know if ESPN airs hockey. And when?

Minty? You must know that, I suppose :)

I don't know about any streaming sites...

However ESPN has officially dropped NHL coverage :tear: This year's 'coverage', what there is of it will be carried in a new partnership with Comcast (a big US cable tv company) owned OLN. That used to stand for Outdoor Life Network and their big calling cards were Rodeo and coverage of the Tour de France. I think they are just using the initials now or something in 'reinventing' the channel. They have signed Bill Clement to head up their studio show and Mike Emrick to do color commentary. They are planning a mainly Monday and Tuesday schedule.

They aren't carrying any games until the season begins but here's the OLN NHL Schedule

here is a site that may show it they have some football and they have also been showing american footbal and baseball so hopefully they will have NHL when the season starts. - www.tvmix.net

To actually watch the streams you need various software like ppstream, pplive and coolstreaming.

Only thing is commentary may be is a forign language but fair enough if its free.

[web]http://svt.se/svt/jsp/Crosslink.jsp?d=19901[/web]

There we go if you want to see some Swedish Eistieren action and covers some NHL. It is in swedish but fairly straight forward to watch the vids. Anyway I'm hoping we can reignite this topic again if there is any streams even of just highlights.

I remember there was a link somewhere on here for some Finnish action so if anyone can remember that would be great.

www.icehockeyleague.tv
The site will stream approx. 30 EIHL games, ENPL action, 40 AHL games, 40 CHL games, and 40 ECHL games to subscribers over the season.

All the teams in the Elite League and most from the ENPL have pledged their support to the site. The service currently costs £75.00 per year or £8.50 per month.
