By the looks of it, Blues has claimed their own player off the waivers!
Well, not entirely true. Madden was waived by the Devils, and while he was still on the waiver list, they traded him with the Blues for a 3rd rounder. Meanwhile the Blues claimed him (and so did I). The trade was approved, and so was the claim.
You pervert! How about trading with yourself? Playing matches against yourself? Awarding trophies to yourself? Man, you can end up closing in your own little world, laughing at your fingertips and trying to climb up one of the walls in your room... think about it. Pervert.
I wonder if GM/Head Coaches still announce the firing of themselves as Coach... :-s
I think the bug here was the allowing the claim of a player in transit between teams in a trade; that's the kind of thing that is tough to catch in testing since it's such an odd combination of occurances.
In my game it turned out all good, because Blues' waiver claim was approved, while they also traded him to the team. If I would've taken Madden instead of St. Louis it would've been a bummer for the Blues, who had already traded him to the team. I put out a claim for him and no doubt half of the NHL did.
