Need some advice about being up to date

Post by flea »

Hey all!!

Have been away for quite some time and have been playing other games, but now, after watching the NHL Draft I really start to think to install EHM07 on my PC again.

So here are some questions about being up to date.

Can u guys recommend me some downloads, databases, images, facepacks, etc.

Yeps, I just took a look at the download section, but there are so many new things I dont know what to download :dunno:

I probably will be playing the CHL (still dont know if WHL, OHL or the Q) or the NHL....dont know yet, but it surely will be one of those.

BTW, missed u guys :-p Hope everybody is ok!!

Why on earth would you ever want to uninstall EHM in the first place?? :-?

Anyway. There aren't any new database updates as of yet, but several are being worked on. What to download though... hmm... all of them? :-D

That's what I do. ;)

:-D :-D Well, I was playing lots of other games lately and my PC had some issues, so I had to uninstall nearly everything.

Then, Football Manager took also a lot of time away, who is more or less similar, but the EHM worm has bitten me again :-p

Have to take a closer look at the download section, Iam sure there are some I still havent installed....think I havent played EHM for more than a year for sure :-k

If it's been a full year, then there's the latest TBL Roster Update - version 1.5, it is, or one of the other available roster updates. That'll come handy.

Hey Flea! Nice to see you back again :joy:

The most important thing to download is a database update. TBL Roster Update v1.5 is the most important thing to download. Also make sure you download the latest EHM patch.

Once you've got your game up and running you can come back for some facepacks and logos for the league you're playing.

Gah!! That was a short fun

Cant get the game to work!! Stupid PC!! Have tried everything, but it just doesnt want to start.

Dont know, I have purchased the game on another PC (on my old one), can it be that the game only works on my old PC because of the license??

Have tried to download the game again from the link SIGA provided us when we bought the game (if I remember correctly u have two downloads, right??), but the links doesnt exist anymore :dunno:

Man, I really dont wanna think I wont be able to play this game anymore

Any idea of how I can make the game to work??!!

You can download it as many times as you want buy you're only allowed to have it licensed and running on two machines. Do you still have your old computer? If you do and you can still get it to connect to the internet, you can go into the eLicense section of the Control Panel and un-license the game from that computer. If not, you can contact the people at eLicense and explain your situation. I've heard of them helping people out with situations like yours.

The game does tell you it can't run because of a license issue, right? Or does it do something else?

Can you get the game to run in demo mode? If you can't get the demo to work then it's a compatibility issue rather than a licence issue. Are you using Windows Vista?

You can find a general FAQ on the licence system here: http://www.elicense.com/faq.html

Thanks for the help guys!!

Nope, it doesnt say nothing, it just doesnt start. When I click the EHM07 icon it starts to think for less than a second and then nothing. No error message, nothing :dunno:

Its quite strange.

Hmmm, now that I think about it...Iam not sure if I have ran the game on my portatile PC, so togheter with the old PC it would make two machines....maybe its that?? But its strange because it doesnt say anything??!!

Fortunately I have access to my old PC, have it stored somewhere.

Iam using Windows XP, but it can be that it has something to do with my PC, as I had lots of problems with it.

Thanks again for the help guys, really appreciate it!!

Well, there is still some hope!!! =D>

Just took a look at my portatile and the game is there....well, at least the installer. I installed the game and the Install Licence popped up.

So it seems the only thing I have to do is connect my portatile to the internet.

Will try it later on, because I have to switch from one PC to the portatile....should have bought wireless

Fantastic! There must be some compatibility issue with your desktop computer. Virus checker maybe? Something else that is running in the background? :-k

Yeps, it seems my PC is pretty screwed....he does some strange things here and there.

But well, fact is that I have started my season with the Sarnia Sting and Iam playing the game without problem.

Man, had forgot how great this game is!!!
