TBL 2007 Card Collection for Lidas 08/09 roster!

Post by Honnegger »

So I downloaded all TBL 2007 card archives that are on the servers here (Europe, North America and International) and renamed the files to make it compatible with the 2008/09 roster update of Lidas. It took me about 4 hours to download everything and so on. Everything is done by now, I'm currently uploading the file to Rapidshare.

The pack includes 9644 player and 1145 staff cards, which is a total of 10789 cards!

My question now is: Is it okay for the Cardmakers (e.g. Devils88, Laz, Lidas himself) that I provide this link here? I just thought it would be nice for other community members to have just one file instead of more than 70.

All credits go to the cardmakers of course! If I get the permission I'll edit this post with the download link. The file will also be linked in the download section.

Rapidshare link to the file:

As long as the folks who made the cards are okay with, this sounds like a great thing. How big is the new zip file with all of the renamed cards?

Around 200MB, it's pretty big... Plus I zipped it with the 7-zip format which is good, it saved me 50-60 MB more. Still uploading it, somehow I only get an upload speed of ~ 11kb/s, I guess that I'll have to let it upload over night and will post the link tomorrow when the guys who made the cards gave their permission.

Don't exactly know, but I don't think that you'll also only get 11kb/s as download speed :-D
It depends, I would say maybe 10-20 minutes, if there are a lot of problems with the mirror, I'll try to upload it somewhere else so you can choose one.

yeah, mine too. That's the problem, uploading always takes more time than downloading files.

Do I understand right: Tomorrow I only have to download his wonderful file and extract them to the players folder and from then on the player pictures will to be seen in the game without changing anything else in the players' data?

If so - this would be wonderful!!!! =D>

Its ok by me as well. That is if you have even used the cards I have made...

I was going to do a simular thing. Oh well. Guess someone beat me to it.

Whilst we're on the topic of TBL Cards... Would I be right in guessing people would like any further cards made to be for the Lidas DB. As in already having the D.O.B's changed, So they don't have to?? Or would they like to keep the original D.O.B's so it would be easier for the cards to be used with other DB's...

Just wondering if the NHL cards are the new Reebok jerseys or not? If not is someone working on cards with the new jerseys?

Thanks lads.

I think that's going to be one of those situations where you can't please everyone. Some folks are going to continue playing the older DBs and want their cards with the original birthdates. Other people will be playing only with the Lidas rosters from this point on and they'll want their cards to match that. I know there are a lot of us that are playing the Saint John challenge, so we're still using the old DB but can't wait to get started with the Lidas DB.

I think if you plan on making cards for a specific database, you should let us know that's what they are when you are submitting it. It should be announced on the file info page. Other than that, I have no objection to it.

Actually, it is ready, yes. I made a new upload here in the download section, but the system told me that I have to send Minstrel a PM with the link etc. so that he can test the file. I didn't received any answer though, maybe someone else of the staff can do this?

edit: so it is uploaded on rapidshare already, I just need the okay of the staff to add it to the download section. I don't know how long this takes.

So does he only need the rapidshare link or do I have to add a new download in the section with entering all the other stuff (title, description etc.)?

The file is prolly too big to be hosted here anyway, so we'll just have a link to it in our DL's section in the same way as Lidas Rosters, which are hosted at Filefront.

We can see the files have been uploaded and awaiting approval. I'll try to approve and move them to Filefront later today.
