Mastercard Memorial Cup 2009 @ Rimouski,QC

Post by Falcon »

well lets chat about junior hockey =D

yesterday, i believe nobody got surprised with the Kelowna Rockets win, in the paper they have the better team,
i especially like the Flamer Backlund, one more top swedish prospect center, who can shine for his National Team and nhl team...

I don't follow junior leagues enough, just check it every now and again to see how top prospects play. So why not start here. :-D

Who are the 4 in the finals... Kelowna... Windsor (guess)...

Backlund was a steal for the Flames at 24. I wanted him #19 in Anaheim!

I've read some good things about this guy at Drummondville that the Bruins have signed, Riendeau. He was undrafted. He's an overage player but he's been scoring like crazy!

Yes he was very good this year, maybe it's a nice shot for the Bruins, just hope he will not be like Gamache or some overated player like this :-D

He's a low risk/high reward type of signing. They didn't draft him and I think he signed for the normal rookie contract. He'll play for their farm team next season and if he develops into an NHLer, it's like hitting the jackpot. Still, the guy has put up some insane numbers in the playoffs.

Yes they sign him with the same salary as a rookie contract. Yeah is stats in the playoff remind me off a guy name Claude Giroux last year :-D Don't think it's the same potential but.....who know? :-p

i think that Dany Massé has a better chance to make the NHL cause he's more of a two-way player than Riendeau . Still,Riendeau reminds me of Patrice Bergeron with a little more scoring touch

Spitfires win the Memorial Cup beating Kelowna 4-1 in the final scoring on the first 3 shots of the game! Congratulations to them!

They've done Mickey Renaud proud.
